2. 5 Release the TRACK SELECT and SEARCH or controls when you have found the desired track number 6 To review your programmed track number press TRACK SELECT again The selected track number and alarm number will be shown Note The BUZZER alarm option will automatically replace the CD TRACK SELECT alarm if you have inserted a CD incorrectly inserted a damaged CD forgotten to insert any CD 12 Se 4 mme fe SETTING BUZZER MELODIES You can set 4 different melodies for both alarm 1 or 2 The buzzer melodies are set at a fixed volume and cannot be adjusted 7 Press and hold down the selected ALM 1 or 2 button and set your alarm time using the lt or controls 2 Before releasing ALM 1 or 2 press the BUZZER button The display will show the buzzer icon 4 under ALM 1 or ALM 2 3 Hold down BUZZER and press or repeatedly until you find the desired melody The buzzer melody and alarm number will be shown and the buzzer melody played as long as you press BUZZER 4 To review your selected buzzer melody over the speakers press BUZZER SWITCHING OFF THE ALARM There are three ways to switch off the alarm Unless you cancel the alarm completely the 24 HR RESET will be automatically selected after 59 minutes from the time your alarm goes first off 24 hours reset you want the alarm mode to be

PEAT ALARM If you are playing a CD the current track will be interrupted at the alarm time and the track position memorized Playback from this position will resume when DAY REPEAT ALARM is pressed Cancelling the alarm completely To cancel the set alarm time before it goes off or during the alarm call press the activated ALM 1 or 2 button and OFF simultaneously The alarm indicator will disappear from the display WEEKEND SLEEPER This feature deactivates the alarm every Saturday and Sunday and resumes the alarm function Monday to Friday You must set the day first see chapter SETTING THE DAY 7 Press DAY REPEAT ALARM once The display will show the set alarm time 2 Select the alarm you wish to deactivate by pressing the ALM 1 or 2 button Within the 5 seconds the display shows the set alarm time briefly press the WEEKEND SLEEPER once If the weekend sleeper is activated 22 will appear in the display for ALARM 1 or 2 3 To cance the weekend sleeper function repeat steps 1 and 2 until zz no longer appears in the display 14 SLUMBERING About slumber time The clock radio has a built in device called the slumber which enables the set to be automatically switched off during radio playback after a set period of time There are three slumber times 60 30 or 10 minutes before the set turns itself off Setting the slumber 1 Press the PLAY gt or RADIO button For the CD mode mak

7. e sure you have inserted a disc first 2 Select your slumber time by pressing the SLUMBER once or more until the desired slumber time is shown The SLUMBER indicator mm will appear on the bottom of the display when slumber is active 3 To cancel the slumber function you can press the SLUMBER button until the word disappears from the display press M OFF RADIO or PLAY gt to cancel immediately and switch off the set MAINTENANCE GENERAL If you do not intend to use your CD clock radio for a long time withdraw the plug from the wall socket Do not expose the set or CDs to humidity rain sand or excessive heat caused by heating equipment or direct sunlight Achamois leather slightly moistened with water is sufficient for cleaning the housing Do not use cleaning agents containing alcohol spirits ammonia or abrasives as these may harm the housing CD PLAYER AND CD HANDLING The lens of the CD player should never be touched The lens may cloud over if the set is moved from cold to warm surroundings The CD player will not start Give the player some time to acclimatize To take a CD out of its box press the center spindle while lifting the CD Always pick up the CD by the edge and replace the CD back in its box after use to avoid scratching and dust clean the CD wipe in a straight line from the center towards the edge using a soft lint free cloth Do not use cleaning agents

11. ely switched off Disconnect the set first and re plug after 3 seconds or more Most of the settings will remain in the memory but you will need to reset the time and day on the clock To retain the clock time and the set alarm time s in the event of an AC power failure or disconnection insert 3x AA L6 UM3 batteries not supplied into the the battery compartment this will act as a power backup However the time will not be illuminated on the clock display Operation of the alarms CD player and radio are also excluded For clarity the battery backup is used to retain the set clock and alarm time s only As soon as the power supply returns the set will resume the standby mode and the display will indicate the correct time 1 Connect the power plug to the wall outlet 2 Insert the batteries into the battery compartment Replace the batteries at least once a year to prevent battery leakage or as often as necessary according to power breakdown usage Batteries contain chemical substances so they should be disposed of properly Connecting headphones loudspeakers Connect headphones active loudspeakers with a 3 5 mm plug into the 2 jack The built in loudspeakers of the set will now be muted Illumination brightness Press BRIGHTNESS once or more to change the brightness of the display The brightness of the display will change in this sequence LOW MEDIUM BRIGHT LOW Clock display The time is display
