1. Scan _ Digital Audio Output Others Off If you are using the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks but are connecting the DVD player to a standard analog television set the Progressive mode to Off On If you are using the COMPONENT VIDEO OUT jacks for connection to a TV that is compatible with a pro gressive scan signal set the Progressive mode to On O The Progressive function only works when VIDEO OUTPUT SELECT switch on the rear panel is set to COMPONENT PROGRESSIVE SCAN A Warning Once the setting for progressive scan output is entered an image will only be visible on a progressive scan compatible video display If you change the setting to On in error you must reset the unit by first pressing the STOP to stop any disc that is playing Next press the STOP again and hold it for five seconds before releasing it The video output will be restored to the standard setting and a picture will once again be visible on a conventional analog display Selecting Digital Audio Output Each DVD disc has a variety of audio output options Set the player s Digital Audio Output according to the type of audio system you use OUTPUT Playback Stream PCM Dolby Digital PCM only Disc PCM 96 kHz PCM PCM PCM Linear PCM DVD DTS DVD DTS bit Stream DTS bit Stream DTS bit Stream Dolby Digital Dolby Digital Dolby Digital PCM DVD bit Stream bit Stream MPEG DVD MPEG bit Str
