RF coaxial cable Connections Connect a Cable signal to the VCR s ANT enna IN jack Use an RF coaxial cable supplied to connect the RF OUT jack on the VCR to the IN jack on the Cable Box DBS Use a second RF coaxial cable to connect the OUT jack on the Cable Box DBS to the TV s ANTENNA IN jack Recording One Channel Watching Another Put the Cable Box DBS on the same channel as the VCR s CH3 CH4 switch Put the TV on the Cable Box DBS output chan nel Then with the VCR in VCR position the VCR light will appear on the display panel use the CH annel A F buttons to select the channel you want to record at the VCR Start the recording Press the VCR TY button once to put the VCR in TV position The VCR light will disappear When you play a tape make sure the Cable Box DBS is set to the Select the channel you want to watch at the Cable Box DBS same channel as the CH3 CH4 switch on the VCR Set the TV to the Cable Box DBS output channel one of channels 02 to 09 for the Cable Box or 03 or 04 for the DBS 10 Installing Removing the Lithium Battery terpe eer eee eee eeseeeeereetaeeeeceeeeebeeenne ere ee eaB BS FOCCES SSS SEFETCFC ESSERE HSE HEF ESHEETS RECTOR REE EES You may install a lithium battery in the VCR This will allow the VCR to save the clock setting and the programmed timer record ings if a power outage occurs The battery can back up your timer recordings and clock setting for around

EXIT STA TUS button repeatedly to see the current time or real time counter on the display panel The channel will not appear Depending on the type of tape used the tape time remaining may not appear right away or may not be correct Also may appear or the display may flash 28 Setting the Remote Control to Operate a TV Your VCR remote control may operate your TV Follow these steps to set the remote control code Find the code for your TV Point the remote control at your TV Press the TV button then press the POWER button If your TV turns on or off try the CH annel A buttons If your remote control operates the TY you re finished If your TV doesn t turn on or off or if the CH annel A V buttons don t work go to step 2 Find the brand of your TV on the list below and remem ber the two digit number beside it TV CODES EMERSON GOLDSTAR HITACHI MAGNAVOX MITSUBISHI PANASONIC While you press and hold the TV button use two Number buttons to enter the two digit code for your TV For exam ple if you have a Zenith TV press Number buttons 5 Then still holding the TV button press the STOP V button Your TV may turn on or off automatically Repeat step I if the remote control works your TV you re finished If the remote control still doesn t work your TV repeat steps 2 3 using a differ ent code for your brand if available If you had to prog
