This can be suppressed by setting the BAND selector to FM MONO You will then hear and record the FM pro gramme in mono The setis switched off if the MODE selector is inthe TAPE OFF and the recorder buttons are released w a eee Fran ais English Espanol ysi 0uy COMPACT DISC PLAYING A DISC Set the MODE selector to CD Press OPEN CLOSE to open the CD cover Insert the CD printed side facing up Fig 4 Close the cover The CD player starts and scans the contents list of the CD After that the total playing time and the number of tracks appear on the display and the CD player stops e Playback will start by pressing PLAY Assoonas playback starts the display shows the track number and the elapsed playing time of that title e Adjust the sound with the VOLUME control and the DYNAMIC BASS BOOST bass but ton e For brief interruptions press PAUSE The word PAUSE then appears To continue play back press PAUSE again e To stop playback press STOP E The CD player also goes to the STOP posi tion by pressing OPEN CLOSE when the end of the CD is reached if you move the MODE selector if the batteries run down or if the power supply is interrupted in any other way e To take out the CD open the CD cover by pressing OPEN CLOSE Open the CD cover only if the CD player is in the STOP position e Thesetis switched off if the MODE selector is in the TAPE OFF
