1. Make sure the dishwasher door is fully open Turn the dispenser cap counterclockwise to remove Do not fill past the smallest opening in the lower part of the dispenser If you overfill excess rinse agent may overflow dispenser and cause oversudsing Clean up any spilled rinse agent with a damp cloth Replace the fill cap and keep cap tightly closed NOTE Because your dishwasher is designed to use a liquid rinse agent you do not need to use a solid or bar type rinse agent Operating Your Dishwasher Keep rinse agent dispenser filled for best drying results sure Temp water heating During the main wash portion of the SOAK amp SCRUB POTS PANS or NORMAL cycle the wash water is heated to an appropriate wash temperature This means that you may turn your home water heater down to provide a minimum of 120 F 49 C incom ing water to the dishwasher Keeping your water heater at a lower temperature will save you up to 10 of your total household water heating energy Time needed to heat water The lower the incoming water temperature the longer the water heating portion of the cycle will run Higher incoming water tempera tures will shorten the water heating time To check water temperature NOTE For best dishwashing results water should be at least 120 F 49 C as it enters the dishwasher 1 Test water at the faucet closest to your dishwasher 2 Run water into a glass set in the

PREHEATING WATER OFF option This option eliminates water heating during the first wash see Sure Temp water heating PREHEATING on page 17 The PREHEATING WATER OFF WATER OFF option should only be used when the water entering the dishwasher is 140 F 60 C or higher This option may be used with the SOAK amp SCRUB POTS PANS and NORMAL cycles Using DELAY WASH The DELAY WASH feature may be used to ACAUTION di starting a nn one to nine hours in one hour increments Product Damage Hazard If your home is equipped with a water softener make sure the dishwasher is not timed to start during regeneration of the softener Failure to follow these instructions could cause product damage 10 To use DELAY WASH 1 Select desired wash and options Touch the DELAY WASH pad The Systems Monitor window will show 9H indicating a nine hour delay The H will flash NOTE Touch the DELAY WASH pad again for an eight hour delay once more for a seven hour delay and so on The Systems Monitor window will show the selected hour Touch the START pad The H will stop flashing The Systems Monitor window will count down each hour until the cycle begins When the cycle begins the remaining time in the cycle will show in the Systems Monitor window NOTE The dishwasher s memory will remember the last DELAY WASH setting The next time the START pad is touched the delay time will appear in

GLASS POTS PANS NORMAL LIGHT CHINA RINSE HOLD SANI RINSE HEATED PREHEATING DRY OFF WATER OFF RINSE WASH 13 Operating Your Dishwasher Water temperature indicator The indicator will display the progress of the water temperature during PREHEATING WATER and SANI RINSE options The temperature display bars will light from left to right as the water temperature increases ANE WARM HOT Other displays Cancel if the CANCEL RESET pad is touched CA will appear Power failure PF will appear if the power in the house or in the dishwasher was off for more than 5 seconds The PF will appear after power has been restored to the dishwasher and the door is latched To clear the PF from the display 1 Close and latch the door 2 Touch the CANCEL RESET pad Wait for the monitor window to go blank 3 Select a new cycle if desired Door open DOOR OPEN will flash on the display if the door has been left open during a cycle DOOR Closing and latching the door will cause the display to go blank OPEN Rinsed only RINSED ONLY will appear in the display after a RINSE HOLD cycle has finished RINSED This display is a reminder that the dish washer is only rinsed but not cleaned ONLY Cycle delay If a cycle has been selected the number of hours will appear for example 9H DELAY WASH 14 Operating Your Dishwasher liad Using the detergent dispenser What type of dete

11. the Systems Monitor window To cancel DELAY WASH DELAY WASH can be canceled at any time 1 Touch the CANCEL RESET pad twice 2 Touch the START pad The dishwasher will begin the selected cycle Operating Your Dishwasher Eada DELAY WASH 11 Operating Your Dishwasher Using CANCEL RESET The CANCEL RESET pad is used to cancel any cycle in progress 1 Touch the CANCEL RESET pad CA will show in the Systems Monitor window 2 You will hear the dishwasher draining This is normal The dishwasher will turn itself off The Systems Monitor window will go blank Adding dishes during a cycle You can add an additional item to the dish 3 Close the door washer anytime before the main wash portion of a cycle See chart on page 9 4 Dishwasher restarts automatically 1 Unlatch the door to stop the cycle Wait a moment for the spray action to stop before opening the door 2 Open the door and add the dishes Changing a cycle setting You can change a wash setting during the first minute of a cycle by touching another wash setting After the first minute of a cycle use the following steps to make changes 1 Touch the CANCEL RESET pad see above Wait for the Systems Monitor window to go blank 2 Open the door 3 Check the detergent dispenser to be sure it is properly filled for the new cycle See page 15 4 Close and latch the door 5 Select the desired new was
