10. ak Level Memory When the Peak Level button is pressed and held the display shows the highest CO reading taken by the CO alarm since its last reset or power up The Peak Level display feature will display levels between 11 999 PPM Although the Peak Level feature will display levels below 30 PPM these levels will not result in an alarm no matter how long the device is exposed to these levels The Peak Level feature is helpful in identifying if you have had a CO reading since resetting the alarm Concentrations of CO between 1 and 30 PPM can often occur in nor mal everyday conditions Concentrations of CO below 30 PPM may be an indication of a transient condition that may appear today and never reappear Some CO conditions may start out as low level leaks but could develop into CO concentrations that may become harmful Peak Level Memory Reset Press the Peak Level button with the button still pressed press the Test Reset button for two seconds and release The number on the dis play will turn to 0 the memory will be cleared and the alarm will begin monitoring for CO The Peak Level memory is also reset when the unit loses power 7 Maintenance NOTE This unit is sealed The cover is not removable Due to the loudness of the alarm we suggest that you place your fingers over the sounder opening while testing your alarm Caution Continuous exposure to the high sound level of this alarm over an extended period of time may

21. re is also disabled once the battery volt age has reached a level to cause a low battery warning chirp This can be defeated for two minutes by pressing the Test button while the unit is removed from the plug to allow the battery to be changed without the 85dB alarm sounding The feature can also be disabled by pressing in the Tamper Resist Activation switch and moving the disable slide towards the switch Use the included screw to secure the battery cover and increase tamper resistance 2 Product Features and Specifications Low Battery Warning If the 9V battery is missing or battery power is low the unit will chirp every 15 seconds to indicate the battery must be replaced If the battery is depleted beyond the point of having the capacity to operate the unit it will chirp every 30 to 45 seconds and will NOT respond to the test button being pressed if operating on battery power THE BATTERY MUST BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY Low Battery HUSH CONTROL When the battery needs to be replaced the unit will produce a low bat tery warning The Low Battery HUSH feature allows you to press the button on the alarm and disable the chirp for a random period of up to 12 hours This gives you a chance to replace the battery at a more convenient time without sacrificing your safety by disconnecting the alarm from power During this Low Battery HUSH period your alarm is monitoring for CO IM PORTANT Seven 7 years after the initial power up
