4. ator Hole 7 on the Back Side of the SPAIR Disconnect Speaker Cable Wires Figure 2 Enclosure Baffle c Disconnect the speaker wires from the old SPAIR and take note of how they were connected Locator Pin Figure 3 Enclosure Baffle A Note on PowerHandlingCapacity SoloX subwoofers will handle massive amounts of power in any of the recommended enclosures minimum or maximum The smaller enclosures are best for use in limited space applications The larger recommended enclosures will yield more bass at the resonate frequency of the enclosure The listed Power Handling capacities assume that both voice coils are in use with the appropriate sub sonic resonate frequency filter Always connect both coils in a dual voice coil soeaker Note The use of a subsonic filter will significantly increase the power handling The power handling specifications in these charts are calculated using a 25Hz 56Hz for the Vented SPL enclosure 24dB per octave sub sonic resonate frequency filter 3 lt A lt 2 After carefully removing the new SPAIR from the shipping container remove the Coil Cap from the new SPAIR assembly by unscrewing and removing the binding posts which secure the Coil Cap to the new SPAIR a Unscrew and remove the four binding posts 2 Coil Cap securing the Coil Cap to the new SPAIR deman and gt Binding Posts Figure 4 Coil Cap fil Binding Posts N Coil Cap
5. e appropriate wiring diagram to achieve the desired ohm load If your system was properly wired you will simply reconnect the wires to the voice coils as they were on the old SPAIR Reconnect Speaker New SPAIR AN PFN N Cable Wires a Pull the speaker cable wires used to connect the subwoofer to the amplifier through the BAM and connect them to the new SPAIR s Binding Posts The Locator Pin and Locator Hole will properly align the new SPAIR to the BAM Remove Gap Cap Locator Pin Figure 8 Enclosure Baffle b Remove the Gap Cap before inserting the new SPAIR Figure 9 Enclosure New SPAIR 7 4 Baffle yet ine j ds EA e Figure 10 c Carefully insert the new SPAIR back into the BAM do not damage the voice coil The double end threaded studs and the ARCTIC Aluminum Rapid Cooling Thermal Induction Centering Cap located on the top of the extended pole piece will help to center the new SPAIR as you lower it into the BAM When properly aligned these assemblies easily slide together Double end threaded studs Enclosure Baffle Figure 11 d Fit the new SPAIR to the BAM with Fi 12 the four 4 1 4 20 Acorn Head igure Nuts and washers and the eight 8 4 9 5 z Acorn Head Bolts We have enclosed four 4 extra Acorn Head Bolts See Figure 11 NOLLV TIVLSNI Hand tighten the Acorn Head Nuts and Bolts in the order shown in Figure 12 Then use a wrench or socket dr
