1. 3 Remove the split pin nut by turning in a clockwise direction and outer flange With the inner flange still fitted on the shaft fit the blade on to the hub of the flange NOTE Insert the locking pin to prevent the shaft rotating 4 Place the outer flange followed by the nut on to the blade and fit the nut finger tight by turning it in an anti clockwise direction Rotate the blade until the holes of the inner flange and the gear box housing align Then insert the locking pin through these holes to prevent rotation Fig D 9 Tighten the nut firmly Fig E 6 Remove the locking pin and insert the split pin Fig F Fold over the legs of the split pin with a pair of pliers Attaching the line trimming head and safety guard 1 Remove the 4 screws from the head of the lower shaft 2 Position the line trimmer guard 3 at the end of the shaft insert and tighten the 4 screws with a screwdriver Fig G 3 Remove the split pin nut by turning in a clockwise direction and outer flange Leave the inner flange fitted NOTE Insert the locking pin to prevent the shaft rotating Fig D NOTE The outer flange is not used when fitting the line trimmer head 4 Place the spool head on the end of the shaft and tighten in an anti clockwise To do this you need to rotate the spool until the holes of the inner flange and the gearbox housing align insert the locking pin to keep them still then firmly tig

3. 2cm of line The cut off knife 5 on the blade guard will automatically cut off any excess line For best results tap the head on hard soil or bare ground Replacement of the cutting line 1 Stop the engine 2 Put the petrol line trimmer on the floor in a way that cutting line and spool assembly 2 is facing up 3 Open the cutting line and spool assembly 2 by holding the spool housing firmly while o rotating the bump knob clockwise Fig R 10 4 Remove the bump knob completely and remove the spool from the spool shaft Discard any short lengths of remaining cutting line 5 Take a 6 metre length of 2mm line and thread the ends through the two holes in the bottom of the spool assembly and pull them together all the way through Fig T Then thread one of the ends through the loop in the spool as shown Fig Q 6 Wind the lines together tightly onto the spool head in the direction indicated by the arrow on the spool Fig V 7 When there is approximately 150mm of line left lock one of the lines into one of the line location notches in the spool head and the other into the opposing notch Fig W 8 With the spring fitted onto the shaft of the spool holder insert the spool back into the holder As you insert the spool thread the lines through the eyelets at the same time Fig X 9 Once the spool is fully inserted and the lines are fully through the eyelets pull firmly on each line to di

5. engine to idle for a few moments 2 Move the ignition switch 11 to the off position marked STOP Fig Q 3 The engine will now stop Running in the engine 1 During the first 2 3 hours of work run the engine at a moderate speed 2 We advise you in any case not to maintain your engine at a high speed as the different components must settle with each other during the process of running in the engine 3 It is at the end of the running in period that the engine will reach its maximum power 4 After the first two hours of work stop and make sure that all nuts and screws are securely fastened and tighten them if necessary Use of the brush cutter This petrol brush cutter is designed to cut grass small bushes and shrubs Never operate the brush cutter without a properly functioning muffler and spark plug cover installed Always use the shoulder strap when using the tool to avoid serious injury Never operate the brush cutter unless it is properly assembled and in good working condition Perform a few accelerations of the motor without reaching maximum speed and without working to make sure that everything is in good working order Start the engine only when you are close to the working area Bring the engine to full throttle before entering the material to be cut The blade has maximum cutting power at full throttle and is less likely to bind stall or cause blade thrust Place yourself in a well balanced p

9. hten the spool by hand Fig H NOTE Before attempting to use the line trimmer pull both the lines to release the bump fee mechanism A u Fitting the secondary handle The brush cutter comes with a secondary handle 8 which can be attached by fixing it to the shaft with the screws and nuts supplied Fig IMPORTANT When using the brush cutter or line trimmer head the secondary handle must ALWAYS be fitted Fuelling MOTOR FUEL MIX AT 40 1 ONLY 1 Use fresh unleaded petrol You must use 2 stroke oil specifically made for heavily stressed two stroke engines 2 Mix the petrol and oil in an approved container Never mix 3 Place the brush cutter 4 Unscrew the fuel tank cap 5 Be careful not to spill any 6 Start the engine at least three fuel in the brush cutter upright on the ground or on a sturdy bench and wipe any debris from around the fuel cap Fig J and pour the mixture into the tank using a funnel Fig K mixture If this happens wipe the spill with a clean rag metres away from the area where the fuel tank has been filled up in order to avoid any risk of fire Always use extreme care when handling fuel Fuel is highly flammable Never attempt to fuel the brush cutter if the fuel system components are damaged or are leaking Never attempt the refuel the engine while it is running or still warm allow it to cool before fuelling Never smoke or light any fires near th
10. ing the filter Heavy deposits should be washed out in suitable solvent Fuel Filter e Fuel tank 12 is fitted with a filter Filter is situated at the free end of fuel pipe and can be picked out through fuel port with a piece of hooked wire or the like Fig Z Check the fuel filter periodically Do not allow dust to Servicing enter the fuel tank A clogged filter will cause difficulty when starting the engine or abnormalities in engine performance When the filter is dirty replace the filter When the inside of the fuel tank is dirty it can be cleaned by Storage and maintenance after use rinsing the tank out with petrol When you finish working clean the petrol brush cutter Checking the spark plug completely making sure there is no grass or dirt Check the spark plug every 10 15 hours of use wrapped in the cutting tools replace the blade cover and put it back into its package in order to avoid its hurting you or other people during transport Be aware to not hit or cut the fuel tank if you put it onto the ground Do not let the petrol brush cutter fall down to the floor or it may damage the machine Store the petrol brush cutter away from direct sunlight Do not store in a nylon bag as this can encourage the formation of mould At the end of the season give the petrol brush cutter an overall cleaning and a thorough check Do not leave the petrol brush cutter resting on the floor for extended periods as it cou

12. ld cause the shape of the guard to alter posing a safety risk Hang it off the floor by the top handgrip Whenever the machine is not used for a long period of time proceed as follows e Itis recommended once you first use your petrol brush cutter to get it serviced after 15 hours of use e From thereafter service the petrol brush cutter every 2 years 1 Remove the spark plug cover 2 Use the spark plug spanner 20 to remove the spark plug by turning it anti clockwise Fig a 3 Clean and adjust the spark plug gap to 0 6 0 7mm Replace any damaged or pci or EN Empty the fuel tank completely CJ7Y spark plug as listed in the specification table Protect all metal engine parts from corrosion by coating 4 Install the spark plug finger tight in the cylinder head then them with oil u tighten it firmly with the spark plug spanner Fig b Remove the spark plug put a few drops of oil into the cylinder and then pull the recoil starter 2 to 3 times in order to distribute the oil evenly Replace the spark plug 12 Problems Power loss or sudden stopping of the engine Check whether the fuel tank is empty The mixture does not reach the carburettor Clean the fuel filter in the fuel tank There is water in the mixture Drain and rinse all the fuel system The air filter is dirty Clean the air filter There are carbon deposits in the cylinder exhaust pipe or the muffler Clean those or change th

15. osition stable on both feet Cut while swinging the upper part of your body from left to right Swing the unit in the same direction as the blade spins which increases the cutting action Always release the throttle trigger and allow the engine to return to idle speed when not cutting Do not hit stones even small ones piles of earth and small pieces of wood or anything else that could be hidden or poorly visible in the grass If you hit a large object by accident or if you block the cutting tool due to overloading or having the cutter jammed with grass you must stop the engine Put the petrol brush cutter on the ground and check that the cutting tool has not been damaged and if necessary replace the cutting tool If the tool is only wrapped around something use gloves and remove the material and clean the cutting tool CAUTION Always wear safety gloves for this operation To reduce the chance of material wrapping around the blade cut at full throttle Swing the unit into the material to be cut and avoid material just cut as you make the return swing NOTE All protective devices of the machine as well as protective equipment must be maintained in good operation condition during the period of use Petrol brush cutter transmit vibrations to the operator during use These vibrations can generate increased fatigue For this reason we recommend taking regular breaks during work We also recommend taking a break after a fe
16. sengage the lines from the spool notches NOTE Ensure the lines are fully clear of the spool notches and the line is passing through the eyelets directly to the spool 10 Screw the bump knob back on the shaft firmly and cut any excess line protruding past the cutter of the guard NOTE On start up test the operation of the bump feed to ensure the line feeds correctly CAUTION After changing the line spool run the petrol line trimmer under no load for at least a minute to make sure that the line and the tool are both operating correctly Use only the line spool as recommended by the manufacturer WARNING Never use steel threads and or three teeth blade other than those provided by the manufacturer Always use tools in perfect condition free of damage WARNING In high speed rotation parts could be projected at very high speed and could involve serious injury and damages to persons and property Maintenance WARNING The engine of the petrol brush cutter must be at a complete stop during assembling repair and cleaning operations that could be necessary Air filter Accumulated dust in the air filter will reduce engine efficiency Increase fuel consumption and allow abrasive particles to pass into the engine Remove the air filter as often as necessary to maintain a clean condition Remove air filter cover 17 by pressing in the sides and lifting it off Fig Y Light surface dust can readily be removed by tapp
