12. injuries may result RX600 S6 Operating Manual 87 CSS components 8 1 1 1 Replacing a hot plug power supply unit Figure 14 Unlocking and removing the power supply unit CAUTION When replacing a non defective hot plug power supply unit in a non redundant configuration the server must be switched off first gt Remove the power cord from the cable clamp You can losen the cable clamp by opening the small locking lever gt Remove the power cord from the installed power supply unit gt Press the green release lever 1 and pull out the power supply unit in the direction of the arrow 2 Grip the handle while pulling the power supply CAUTION Release your hands from lever 1 as soon as the power supply unit has been pulled out a few centimeters gt Completely remove the defective power supply unit from the slot CAUTION Never leave the slot for the power supply unit empty for more than two minutes during operation Otherwise excessive temperatures could damage system components 88 Operating Manual RX600 S6 CSS components gt Slide the new power supply unit into the empty slot until it clicks into place Make sure that the new power supply unit engages correctly in the i mounting location and is locked in position This is the only way to prevent the power supply unit from sliding out of its mountings and being damaged during transportation gt Thread the cable through
