3. provided with your appliance e Do not store LP gas cylinders under or near this appliance e Never fill the cylinder beyond 80 full e Failure to follow the above instructions exactly may result in fire causing death or serious injury e A disposable propane cylinder must not remain connected to the fireplace when using the hose and refillable cylinder Install the shut off plug into the remaining fuel connection e When using extension hose always point the cylinder valve toward the fuel inlet of the appliance e Maintain proper clearances between cylinder and appliance The cylinder must be positioned with 60 inch clearance between the cylinder and the inlet of the gas fireplace e Clean and inspect the hose before each use If there is evidence of abrasion wear cuts or leaks the hose must be replaced prior to use The replacement hose must be that specified by The Coleman Company Inc e Never alter in any way or use with any device or part not expressly approved by Coleman INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE e High Pressure Hose Extension R5071 522 is only for use with Coleman gas fireplace model 5071 See your dealer or contact Coleman to purchase the accessory hose e The LP gas supply cylinder to be used must be constructed and marked in accordance with the specifications for LP gas cylinders of the U S Department of Transportation DOT or the National Standard of Canada CAN CSA B339 cylinders spheres and Tubes for the Tr

10. ansportation of Dangerous Goods e If a refillable cylinder is used it must have a collar to protect the cylinder valve ASSEMBLING HIGH PRESSURE HOSE E Close the burner valve firmly Fig 28 E Remove the plastic protective cap from the shut off plug Install the shut off plug into the left fuel connection Fig 29 and 30 E Attach the 8 accessory hose to the right side connector on the Fireplace Fig 31 E Attach the hose to the cylinder Fig 32 E Open cylinder valve and perform leak check on Hose to Regulator and Hose to Cylinder con nections with soapy water Bubbles indicate a leak Check that the connection is not cross threaded and that it is tight Perform another leak check If there is still a leak remove the cylinder and contact Coleman for service or repairs Fig 33 and 34 English 7 Battery INSTASTART A WARNING e Hose R5071 522 is for use with gas fireplace Model 5071 only Electronic Ignition Fireplace e The gas hose is a tripping hazard Keep yourself and others away from the gas hose when in use or attached to the fireplace e Do not tip or move the fuel supply E Push igniter button and hold then open fuel valve fully Fig 36 Protective Collar A WARNING e Turn off fuel at the cylinder and disconnect both ends of the hose when not in use e You must follow these instructions exactly or a fire causing death or serious injury may occur BURN H
11. bow l media Rock 6 Control Panel 12 Firebowl media Tumbled Glass 13 Fireplace Cover e Check all items for shipping damage Call Coleman at 1 800 835 3278 or TDD 316 832 8707 if you have any problems English 3 Assembly HAND TOOLS REQUIRED not provided e Phillips Screwdriver e Small Adjustable Wrench E Assemble three legs to the shelf The shelf is threaded to receive the screws Fig 2 Invert the shelf and attach each leg with two screws Notice that for this step the legs are positioned with the large end downward Fig 3 Hand tighten the six screws Hardware shown actual size Screw 6 Qty Assembly is inverted in this view E Turn the shelf and legs upright Position the frame on the legs Attach any two legs to the frame using two screws and two hex nuts per leg Fig 4 and 5 NOTE Do not completely tighten these fasteners until later This will allow easier alignment during assembly of the control panel NOTE The third leg will be fastened later when the control panel is assembled to the frame Hardware shown actual size Screw 4 Qty Hex Nut 4 Qty E Assemble the Control Panel by slipping the flange between the frame and the third leg Grasp the frame and raise slightly to create clearance for the flange Fasten with two screws and two hex nuts Fig 6 7 and 8 NOTE Do not completely tighten these fasteners until later This will allow easier al

16. ignment while securing the bottom of the control panel with screws Hardware shown actual size mm Screw 2 Qty J Hex Nut 2 Qty English 4 E Secure the bottom of the Control Panel to the leg with two small screws Fig 9 and 10 Hardware shown actual size D uw Small Screw 2 Qty E Insert the Fuel Tube into the Firebowl Make sure that the end with the rubber O Ring goes into the Firebowl Fig 11 and 12 Loosely assemble the retaining nut to allow for alignment with the Control Panel in the next step E Assemble the Firebowl into the frame Take care to align the Fuel Tube with the fitting on the Control Panel Fig 13 E Use a small wrench to tighten both Fuel Tube fittings Fig 14 and 15 E Tighten all screws and hex nuts E Attach both of the electrode wires from the Firebowl to the wires from the back of the Control Panel Fig 16 Slip the insulating sleeves over the connections Fig 17 NOTE It does not matter which wire is attached to either connector E Unscrew the igniter button to reveal the battery compartment E Install a fresh Alkaline AA Battery with positive outward E Replace the igniter button finger tight Fig 18 English 5 E Place the Inner Granite Surface in the storage E Attach two Coleman 16 4 oz disposable propane position on the shelf Fig 19 bottles Fig 26 E Place three Outer Granite Surfaces in the frame The joinin
