Press to exit the setting screen e The DST indicator appears on the display to indicate that Daylight Saving Time is turned on Using Graphic Animations In the Animation Mode the current time is shown in the lower part of the display and a graphic animation is displayed in the center of the display You can specify one of three different animation patterns You can also configure the Animation Mode so it automatically displays the current time as kept in the Timekeeping Mode for about three seconds whenever you angle the watch towards your face for reading Animation pattern Timekeeping Mode time Hour Minutes Animation Patterns You can select any one of the following three animation patterns for the Animation Mode e Animal Dolphin Dog Cat e Baby G B gt A gt B gt Y gt G e Seconds count of current time To select an animation pattern 1 Use to enter the Animation Mode 2 In the Animation Mode each press of cycles through the animation patterns in the sequence shown below PET Animal gt Baby G Seconds OQ ISBO Preset Message Display When the Animal animation pattern is selected the watch will also display preset message selected by you in the Timekeeping Mode at the timing shown below Z Dolphin Message gt Dog l Cat ri Change the year Use and Change the month or day Cha

MA0307 EA CASIO Operation Guide 2673 About This Manual e Button operations are indicated using the letters shown in the illustration e This watch is equipped with two color LCD panels For the sake of simplicity the screen shots in this manual are shown using only one color e Each section of this manual provides you with the information you need to perform operations in each mode Further details and technical information can be found in the Reference section Light General Guide e Press to change from mode to mode e In any mode press to illuminate the display Timekeeping Mode Animation Mode World Time Mode Timekeeping Use the Timekeeping Mode to set and view the current time and date e Pressing in the Timekeeping Mode cycles through available screen formats as shown below Seconds Screen Seconds Screen Month Day color Screen Month Day Screen color PM indicator Day of week eite a lt C o 580 Seconds Hour Minutes Month Day e When a color screen seconds screen month day screen is selected in the Timekeeping Mode the current time that appears at the bottom of the display in other modes is also shown in color Read This Before You Set the Time and Date The times displayed in the Timekeeping Mode and World Time Mode are linked Because of this make sure you select a city code for your Home City the city where you normally use the watch before you se
4. arm Off Alarm On Alarm Off Alarm on Signal On Signal Off Signal O Signal On indicator Hourly time signal on e The alarm on indicator flashes while the alarm is indicator sounding e The alarm on indicator and Hourly Time Signal on indicator are displayed in all modes Countdown Timer You can set the countdown timer within a range of one minute to 60 minutes The countdown starts automatically as soon as you set a countdown start time An alarm sounds when the countdown reaches zero e All of the operations in this section are performed in the Countdown Timer Mode which you enter by pressing Minutes Seconds Timekeeping Mode time Hour Minutes To use the countdown timer Use and to set the countdown start time you want The countdown will start automaically about one second after you set a time e Pressing or while a countdown is in progress changes the minute setting of the currently displayed time e When the end of the countdown is reached the alarm sounds for 10 seconds or until you stop it by pressing any button e The countdown timer measurement operation continues even if you exit the Countdown Timer Mode e Press to stop the countdown and return to the countdown start time to all zeros e If the watch is in the Timekeeping Mode Animation Mode or Countdown Timer Mode when the end of a countdown is reached an animation pattern also appears on the display along wit
5. coming from the watch when it is shaken back and forth This sound is caused by mechanical operation of auto time display and does not indicate a problem with the watch Backlight Precautions The backlight uses an EL electro luminescent panel that causes the entire display to glow for easy reading in the dark In any mode press to illuminate the display for about two seconds e The electro luminescent panel that provides illumination loses power after very long use The illumination provided by the backlight may be hard to see when viewed under direct sunlight e The watch may emit an audible sound whenever the display is illuminated This is due to vibration of the EL panel used for illumination and does not indicate malfunction e The backlight automatically turns off whenever an alarm sounds e Frequent use of the backlight shortens the battery life

7. he World Time is synchronized with the seconds count of the Timekeeping Mode e The current time in all World Time Mode cities is calculated in accordance with the Greenwich Mean Time GMT differential for each city based on the current Home City time setting in the Timekeeping Mode e The GMT differential is the time difference of the time zone where the city is located from Greenwich Mean Time e GMT differential is calculated by this watch based on Universal Time Coordinated UTC data Auto Time Display Precautions e The watch may not display the current time if its face is More than 15 degrees more than 15 degrees above or below parallel Make too high sure that the back of your hand is parallel to the ground e The watch returns to the Animation Mode in about three seconds even if you keep the watch pointed towards your face e Static electricity or magnetic force can interfere with proper auto time display If the watch does not display the current time automatically try moving the watch back to the starting position parallel with the ground and then tilt it back toward you again If this does not work drop your arm all the way down so it hangs at your side and then bring it back up again e Under certain conditions the watch may not display the current time until about one second after you turn the face of the watch towards you This does not necessarily indicate malfunction e You may notice a very faint clicking sound
