Start Here Easy Setup Instructions PIXMA MP510 Photo All in One QT5 0453 V02 1 Prepare the Machine Place the machine on a flat and horizontal surface and do not place any objects in front of the machine Open the Front Feeder and extend the Paper Output Support and the Paper Support A Caution Before turning on the machine remove all of the shipping tapes N Important Do not connect the USB cable until after the software is in stalled Plug the power cord in the back of the machine and connect the other end to the wall outlet N Important e Plug the power cord all the way in since it may be difficult to plug e Make sure that the Document Cover is closed Open the Operation Panel then press the ON OFF button to turn on the machine Use the amp or W button on the Operation Panel to select the language for the LCD then press the OK button Yi Language selection English Deutsch francais italiano espa ol Nederlands 1 Press the or w A button to select the language 2 Press the OK button N Important If an unintended language is displayed on the LCD proceed setup to the end of step 3 Install the Ink Tanks and then refer to An Unintended Language Is Displayed on the LCD in Troubleshooting of the User s Guide on screen manual to change the LCD language If the message lt lnstall the print head and set the ink tank gt app

7. ears go to O Lift the Scanning Unit Printer Cover open and set the Scanning Unit Support to hold the cover The Print Head Holder moves to the center Scanning Unit Printer Cover O Write down the serial number located inside the machine You will need this to register your product Serial Number Location 2 Install the Print Head 3 Install the Ink Tanks O Peel back the orange tab completely and remove the plastic wrapper from the ink tank Remove the Print Head from its package A Caution There may be some transparent or light blue ink on the inside of the bag the print head comes in or the inside of the protec tive cap this has no effect on print quality Be careful not to get ink on yourself when handling these items If the orange colored protective film is not removed completely problems with printing may occur Twist off and discard the orange protective cap located on the bottom of the ink tank Protective Cap Remove the orange protective cap from the Print Head and discard it Ink Port D Electrical Contacts N Important Do not touch the electrical contacts e Do not touch the ink port Insert the ink tank into the right hand slot and press the Fs mark on the ink tank until it clicks into place Protective Cap Print Head Nozzles Note Do not touch the print head nozzles and the electrical contacts Firmly raise the Print Head Lock Lever until it
