Part Number Update Bulletin No PNU 146 000 Effective Date 1 14 2010 Cancels PNU 146 000 dated 10 1 2009 Page 1 of 1 Subject New Formula Blue Caliper Part Number Added Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake is adding a new semi loaded remanufactured caliper part number to our Formula Blue offering This new Formula Blue part number is E14685009 and will be available for orders effective January 1st 2010 Its core group number is 69 This new caliper assembly can be used interchangeably with the Formula Blue part number E14685008 replacement for the Bendix 2 88 twin piston caliper Bendix part number 55250 Although the assemblies are interchangeable the component designs of the E14685009 and E14685008 are not the same including machining differences which do not allow interchangeability of maintenance kits components and therefore cores The new Formula Blue caliper part number E14685009 is similar to the pre 1989 design with phenolic pistons and a unique soft boot This differs from the Formula Blue part number E14685008 replaces Bendix part number 55250 which has phenolic pistons and a hard boot with a metal insert Caliper part number E14685009 is being made available for customers returning the soft boot cores Returning such cores will establish core eligibility in core group number 69 Refer to Technical Bulletin TCH 020 018 for additional technical information pertaining to the calipers
