Afafe CISCO Data Sheet Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series and Cisco 7600 Series Communication Media Module Product Overview Cisco Unified Communications is a comprehensive IP communications system of voice video data and mobility products and applications It enables more effective more secure more personal communications that directly affect both sales and profitability It brings people together by enabling a new way of communicating where your business moves with you security is everywhere and information is always available whenever and wherever it is needed Cisco Unified Communications is part of an integrated solution that includes network infrastructure security mobility network management products lifecycle services flexible deployment and outsourced management options end user and partner financing packages and third party communications applications The Cisco Communication Media Module CMM is a line card for the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switch and Cisco 7600 Series Router that provides high performance and high density voice over IP VoIP gateways and media services The Cisco CMM Figure 1 allows organizations to connect their existing time division multiplexing TDM network to their IP communications network provide connectivity to the public switched telephone network PSTN and enable conferencing transcoding and media termination services for their IP communications networks Figure 1 Cisco Communicat
