3. or damp areas 3 Installation assembly Remove all packaging materials from the device Place the laminator on a stable even surface Leave enough space in front of and behind the device for feeding in and discharging the laminating film Connect the power cable to a 220 240 V outlet When the lamination process is complete and the device is no longer needed switch the device off by turning the switch to Off 4 Notes on use Switch the device on by pressing the On Off button on the right hand side The red Power light will go on to show that the power supply is functioning The laminator automatically heats to the correct temperature for laminating films with a thickness of 80m After approx 5 10 minutes the required temperature is reached This is indicated when the Ready lamp lights up green Place the document to be laminated in the appropriate laminate sleeve as shown in the illustration below Leave approx 3 5 mm of free space at the corners of the pouch Ensure that there is no dust or dirt in the laminating pouch Begin the lamination process Slide the film with the document into the opening of the device Note that the closed side of the pouch must be inserted into the laminator first The film automatically passes through the device and is heat sealed Do not remove the film until the lamination is complete when the film has completely passed through the machine 5

Additional notes on use a Always switch the device off and disconnect it from the power supply when not in use b Never operate the device for more than two hours at a time and allow 15 second intervals between each lamination process c Before you store the device in the box let it cool for at least 30 minutes d For best results use the laminator at normal room temperature 10 35 C e Ensure that there is no dirt on the outside of the laminating film in order to protect the device from impurities 6 Caring for the device Any dirt stuck to the outside of the film can be deposited on the rollers of the device during the lamination process Excessive adhesive may run next to the films after they are pressed together and become stuck To extend the service life of the laminator and maintain the quality of the lamination process it is important to clean the device regularly 6 1 Cleaning the rollers a Switch the device on as previously described b Fold a DIN A4 piece of paper and push it into the device with the folded side first c Repeat this again until there are no more traces of glue on the paper d If this method does not remove the dirt we recommend using special cleaning cloths from our product range 6 2 Cleaning the machine a Switch off the device and disconnect it from the power supply b When the laminator has cooled down clean the outside with a soft cloth 6 3 Specifications Number
