1. LGB 1 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Take the radiator out of its packing box and remove any polystyrene pieces or any other packaging material that might be lodged inside it Make sure that the radiator has not been damaged during transit and that the mains cable is in working order 2 MODELS WITH EASY WHEEL SYSTEM Turn the radiator upside down on a rug or a soft surface in order to prevent damaging the paint finish Fully unfold the castors by turning them outwards Fig 1 Turn the radiator back to its upright position 3 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Before using the appliance check that your supply voltage is the same of that shown on the rating label of the unit and that the power socket and power supply line correspond to the load specified Check also that the current capacity of your fuses CONNECT YOUR HEATER TO EARTH PROVIDED SOCKET ONLY This appliance complies with EEC Directive 89 336 relating to electro magnetic compatibi lity OPERATION AND USE TURNING ON Insert the plug into an electrical outlet rotate the thermostat knob if provided to maximum and turn the unit on as follows using the power selector e Turn the power selector to position 1 to select minimum output yellow light on the left will come on e Turn the power selector to position 2 to select medium output yellow light on the right will come on e Turn the power selector to position 3 to select maximum output both yellow lights will come on Adjusting the ther2. located must be ventilated tis perfectly normal for the radiator to make creacking sounds when used for the first time The heater must not be located immediately below a fixed socket outlet The container of this heater is filled with a precise quantity of special oil so that repairs requiring the opening of the oil container must only be made by the service agent Any oil leakage must be reported to the service agent Do not use this appliance in rooms having a floor area of less than 4m If the appliance is scrapped provisions on the disposal of oil must be respected Do not rest the cable on the appliance while still hot The appliance is fitted with a safety device which will switch off it in case of accidental overheating To reset disconnect the plug from the power for 30 minutes remove the cause of overheating then plug the appliance in again ATTENTION in order to avoid any danger caused by an accidental resetting of the safety system this appliance must not be powered through an external timer Ea IMPORTANT Do not cover the appliance during functioning this could cause a dangerous temperature increase of the radiator
3. mostat When the room has reached the desired temperature turn the thermostat knob slowly in an clockwise direction until you get to the setting and not beyond it The thermostat will then adjust the set temperature automatically and keep it constant If your unit is a three output version in intermediate seasons or on days when temperatures are not particularly cold select minimum output fo optimise savings and consumption Anti freeze function only for models with thermostat With the thermostat in the position and a power selected the unit maintains the room at a temperature of about 5 C preventing freezing with minimum energy outlay c Models with a 24 hour time clock fig 3 To set the heating periods proceed in the following manner Check the time by your watch Supposing it is 10 00 a m turn the numbered dial of the time clock in a clockwise direction until the number 10 coincides with the reference mark s on the time clock Set the time period during which you wish the appliance to work by pushing the notches towards the centre Each notch corresponds to a period of 15 minutes At this point sections will be visible corresponding to the working periods Set in this way the radiator will function automatically every day during the set period Important the plug must remain connected to power supply To change the programmed time period just bring back the black notches to their original position and set the new working
