1. IMPORTANT Read and follow all Safety Precautions and Instructions Before Operating this Equipment Owners Manual 13696 18598 Rev 07 149 AA SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AA Always wear safety glasses a dust mask and proper clothing to avoid contact with any chemicals or dangerous materials that are being applied by this spreader Always remove any contents that are in the spreader s hopper before attaching detaching or lifting the unit Always refer to the load rating for the towing vehicle which should be located in the vehicle s owners manual Make sure that the weight of the unit plus the weight of the contents in the hopper do not exceed that of the vehicles recommended load rating To avoid damage to this unit and prevent personal injury NEVER load the hopper heavier than the maximum limit specified Stay clear of all moving and spinning parts of this unit Always follow directions from the package of the material you are applying with this unit This unit is not designed to spread sand or gravel These abrasive materials can cause premature failure of the unit Operation Instructions After assembling unit attach to the hitch of ATV or lawn tractor Read and follow directions on the package of the material being spread by this unit Fill hopper with desired material to be spread by this unit not exceeding maximum load of 125lbs Adjust the flow control arm Ref 44 on the flow control plate Ref 41
2. le Second on the other s de of the axle put these parts on the axle n the following order eInside Bushing 18 eBig Flat Washer 16 Axle Spacer 50 Tire Wheel Assembly 14 e2 Big Flat Washers 16 ePlace Hex bolt M3 x 45 27 through rim of tire and through the hole in the Axle 30 and fasten with M5 Lock Nut 28 Photo 1 MS x 45 Hex Bolt M5 Lock Nut See Photo 1 Step 2 Attach Hopper to Frame Tube M6 x40 Hex Slide Sprocket Shaft 25 up through the center hole in the bottom of the hopper Be sure holes in Hopper line up with the holes in the Frame Tube Place Hair Pin 22 through the hole in the top of the sprocket shalt Hair Pin Next secure the hopper to the frame tube using 6 M6 x 40 Hex Bolts 3 6 washers 2 and then 6 M6 Lock Nuts 9 on the bottom Photo 2 SEE Photo 2 M6 x 40 Hex Bolt STEP 3 Attach Hitch Tube Assembly to the Frame Tube Using Hex Bolt M6 x 40 3 1 Washer and 1 M6 Lock Nut 9 secure the hitch tube assembly to the frame tube by placing the end of the hitch tube on to of the frame tube Then put the hex bolt through both tubes and fasten with the washer and the nut Next attach the connecting rod to the rod assembly plate securing it with 2 Washers and an M8 Lock Nut STEP 4 Connecting the Hitch Braces to the Hitch Tube and Frame Tube Connect both hitch tube assembly using M6 x 35 hex bolt 17 and 1 M6 lock nut on each side M6 L
