3. will make exposed metal part of the tool alive and shock the operator 2 Do not start the saw with the blade touching any surface The blade action will bounce the tool and may cause body injury 3 Allow the tool to come to a complete stop before putting it down A running tool will jerk when the blade tip contacts any surface 4 Always remove the plug from the mains socket before making any adjustments or maintenance including changing the blade Do not let anyone under the age of 18 years operate this saw 6 Always stand to one side when operating the saw and allow the blade to come to rest naturally 10 11 12 Reciprocating Saw Never use a cracked or distorted saw blade Only use sharp blades When cutting round wood use clamps to prevent the work piece from turning on both sides of the blade Never use your hands to remove sawdust chips or waste close by the blade Rags cloths cord and string and the like should never be left around the work area Avoid cutting nails Inspect the work piece and remove all nails and other foreign objects before sawing Do not attempt to free a jammed blade before first switching off the machine Do not slow or stop a blade with a piece of wood or other objects Owner s Manual FEATURES This reciprocating saw has been designed for metal and non metal cutting applications Please refer to the fig 1 to familiarize yourself with the major components of this tool before
4. excessive pressure that causes bending or twisting of the blade may cause the blade to break Metal Cutting 1 When cutting metal material such as sheet steel pipe steel rods aluminum brass and copper etc be careful not to bend or twist the blade and do not force the cutting action 2 Its recommended that you use cutting to lubricate the cutting surface to avoid the blade from overheating Following the general cutting procedure on previous page WARNING If any of the following events occur during normal operation the power supply should be shut off at once and tool thoroughly inspected by a qualified person and repaired if necessary 1 The rotating parts get stuck or speed drops abnormally low 2 The tool shakes abnormally accompanied by some unusual noise The motor housing gets abnormal hot 4 Heavy sparks occur around the motor area MAINTENANCE Warning Preventive maintenance performed by unauthorized personnel may result in misplacing of internal wires and components which could cause serious hazard CAUTION Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before attempting to perform inspection or maintenance Regularly clean the tool s air vents with compressed dry air Do not attempt to clean by inserting pointed objects through openings Reciprocating Saw CAUTION Certain cleaning agents and solvents may damage plastic parts Some of these are gasoline carbon tetrachloride chl

11. tool features variable speed control 1 switching on off plug the cord set into the power socket Slowly depress the trigger switch the tool will be turned on and runs from slow to fast The tool reaches its full soeed when the trigger switch is fully depressed Fully release the trigger switch will turn the tool off 2 continuous running depress the lock on button after the trigger switch is fully depressed then release the trigger switch the tool will be under continuous running status To stop the tool fully depress the trigger switch and the lock on button will spring up back to its original position release the trigger switch General Cutting 1 Make sure the saw blade is clear of any foreign material and the power cord or extension cord are out of the path of the blade 2 Be sure the material to be cut is held firmly Small work pieces should be securely clamped ina vise or clamped to the work bench 3 Make out a cutting line 4 Hold the saw firmly in front and clearly away from you J Switch on the tool and wait until the saw has reached its full speed 6 Place the shoe on the work piece and begin to saw Owner s Manual NOTE Use only enough pressure to keep the saw cutting Allow the blade and the saw to do the work WARNING Make sure the saw blade does not touch the work piece until the saw reaches its maximum speed Failure to do so would causes loss of control and result in Serious injury WARNING Use of
12. using It 1 Shoe 2 Chuck 3 Rubber Grip 4 Rear Handle Release Button 5 Trigger Switch 6 Lock on Button ASSEMBLY CAUTION Always ensure that the tool is switched off and unplugged from the mains supply before assembly Installing a saw blade 1 Open the blade clamp by rotating it in an anticlockwise direction This will retract the pin and allow the saw blade to be inserted 2 Insert the saw blade into the clamp to the deepest position and release the clamp to lock the blade in position J Pull on the blade to ensure it s securely fastened shoe adjustment 1 Loosen the two screws located underside the rubber grip pull or push the shoe to a desired position 2 Retighten the screws Make sure not to overtighten them to avoid damage of threads Note Do not operate the reciprocating saw if the adjustable shoe is not installed Reciprocating Saw Rear Handle Adjustment The rear handle of this tool can be rotated around the main body of motor and locked at five different angles so that you can operate the tool at most comfortable postion Pull the rear handle release button back to unlock the rear handle Turn the rear handle to desired angle and release the rear handle release button Turn the rear handle left or right so that it locks at the nearest preset position with a lear click OPERATION switching on and off Caution Ensure that the tool is in good condition The trigger switch of this
