CAR MODEL XD F L 8 LOOP PART NO 95910 2D650 RE PROGRAMMING COMPLETED PRESS ENTER 8 Turn the ignition key to the OFF position for 20 seconds and then start the engine to check for proper operation 9 Check for diagnostic codes using the Hi Scan Pro with the system software card Erase any diagnostic codes EXPLANATION OF ERROR MESSAGE 1 INVALID PASSWORD Please enter the correct password again 2 REPROGRAMMING ERROR PLEASE WAIT FOR RETRY An error occurred during reprogramming the Hi Scan Pro will retry the reprogramming automatically 3 ALREADY REPROGRAMMED or THIS ACU IS DIFFERENT TYPE The reprogramming already has been performed on this vehicle or the ACU is not the valid type for this program 4 COMMUNICATION ERROR PLEASE CHECK THE SYSTEM In this case the Manual Update Procedure must be used by selecting menu option 02 XD F L AIR BAG REPROGRAMMING ERROR CAMPAIGN CLAIM INFORMATION OP OP CODE OPERATION TIME AOBO60R1 Air bag Control Unit Reprogramming 0 3 M H Submit claim using Campaign Claim Screen Page 8 of 8

6. rn the ignition key OFF for 20 seconds before starting the engine ACU REPROGRAMMING PROCEDURE NOTE Verify that the vehicle is affected by identifying the vehicle production date via DCS AUTOMATIC UPDATE PROCEDURE 1 Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and confirm that the air bag warning light in the instrument cluster flashes approximately six times and then turns off NOTE If the air bag warning light in the cluster remains illuminated after flashing diagnose and repair the air bag system before starting the reprogramming procedure EE DLC 3 Remove the system software card from the Hi Scan Pro and insert the iy reprogramming software card containing the new air bag program into the Hi Scan Pro top slot 2 Attach the Data Link Connector DLC cable to the Hi Scan Pro main body and securely tighten the two bolts Reprogram card Page 2 of 8 Technical Service cur sa AAR AEAEE Bulletin CAMPAIGN 05 01 002 4 Plug the DLC cable from the Hi Scan Pro into the 16 pin data link connector located to the left of the steering wheel under the instrument panel 5 Turn the ignition to the ON position 6 Turn the Hi Scan pro ON 7 Select option 56 XD F L AIR BAG REPROGRAMMING and press IGN SELE ENTER __ CAMPAIGN SELECTION 50 SM 2 4 2 7 DRIVING FEEL IMPROVEMENT 51 5M 3 5 O3MY NONLINEAR ACCELERATION 52 LC 1 557 6D 00 04MY 02 SENSOR 53 LC FAL 1 535 1 60 OSM 02
