2. 3 Firmly grasp both sides of oven door along the door sides Do not use the oven door handle See Fig 3 4 Close the door to the broil stop position the oven door will stop into this position just before fully closing 5 With the oven door in the broil stop position lift the oven door hinge arms over the roller pins located on each side of the oven frame See Fig 4 Fig 1 To replace oven door 1 Firmly grasp both sides of oven door along the door sides Do not use the oven door handle See Fig 3 2 Holding the oven door at the same angle as the removal position seat the hook of the hinge arm over the roller pins located on each side of the oven door frame See Fig 4 The hook of the hinge arms must be fully seated onto the roller pins 3 Fully open the oven door horizontal with floor See Fig 1 4 Push the door hinge locks up towards and into the oven frame on both left and right oven door hinges See Fig 2 to the locked position 5 Close the oven door Special door care instructions Most oven doors contain glass that can break Read the following recommendations 1 Do not close the oven door until all the oven racks are fully in place roller 2 Do not hit the glass with pots pans or any other pin object A ae Ete hinge 3 Scratching hitting jarring or stressing the glass may aim weaken its structure causing an increased risk of breakage at a later t
3. 4 Assemble one connector arm at a time With the oven door open and the oven rack in place install one end of the connector arm to the hole in the door connector bracket Fig 1 and the other end in the hole in the rack connector bracket Fig 2 and as in Fig 3 The oven rack may need to be adjusted in or out in the rack position to match the length of the connector arm 5 While holding the connector arm in place twist the connector arm so the ends of the connector arm point upwards See Figs 4 amp 5 The connector arm should now be locked into position 6 Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other connector arm 7 Once both connector arms are properly in place be sure to test the oven rack operation by gently closing the oven door The oven rack should move in and out of the oven freely when the door is opened or closed Ay CAUTION REMOVE ALL OVEN RACKS and accessories before starting a self clean cycle If the oven racks are left in the oven during the self clean cycle the glide ability of the Effortless Oven Rack system will be damaged and will cause oven racks to loose their shiny finish and or turn blue Remove ALL oven racks and clean according to instructions provided in the Care amp Cleaning section of this manual Make sure the oven and oven racks are COMPLETLY cool and safe to touch before attempting to assemble or disassemble the Effortless Oven Rack system Never pick up hot oven rack parts BEFORE SETTIN

If the display is set for Celsius adjustments made will be in 1 C increments each press of the A or V keys DO NOT USE oven thermometers such as those found in grocery stores to check the temperature settings inside your oven These oven thermometers may vary as much as 20 to 40 degrees from actual temperatures 18 Setting lockout feature The control may be programmed to lock the oven door and lockout the oven control pads 3 Controls To set the lockout feature 1 Press Clear Off and hold for 3 seconds Loc will appear in display the Door Locked indicator light will flash and the motor driven door lock will begin to close automatically Allow about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock Once the oven door is locked the current time of day will appear in the display 2 To cancel the lockout feature press Clear Off and hold for 3 seconds The control will unlock the oven door and resume normal operation amp NOTES DO NOT open the oven door while the indicator light is flashing Allow about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock Once the oven door is locked the current time of day will appear in the display If any control pad is pressed with the oven lockout feature active Loc will appear in the display until the control pad is released Operating oven light some models The interior oven light will automatically turn ON when the oven door is opened Press the Oven Light keypad to turn the ov

C To set Bake 1 Press Bake appears in the display 2 Within 5 seconds press the A or V The display will show 350 F 177 C By pressing and holding the A or V the temperature can then be adjusted in 5 F increments 1 C if the control is set to display Celsius 3 As soon as the A or V pad is released the oven will begin heating to the selected temperature When the displayed temperature reaches the desired baking temperature the preheat indicator light will turn OFF and the control will beep 3 times To change the oven temperature after bake has started 1 Press Bake Visually check the bake temperature and that it needs to be changed 2 Press the A or V pad to increase or decrease the set temperature to the desired new oven temperature amp NOTES e The Oven indicator light on the electronic display will turn ON and OFF when using the Bake feature and during preheat This is normal and indicates that the oven is cycling to maintain the selected baking temperature e When the Preheat indicator light turns OFF your oven is ready To cancel baking at any time press Clear Off mJ IMPORTANT Dark or dull pans absorb more heat than shiny bakeware resulting in dark or overbrowning of foods It may be necessary to reduce the oven temperature or cook time to prevent overbrowning of some foods Dark pans are recommended for pies Shiny pans are recommended for cakes cookies and muff

COOKTOP 4 amp WARNING Use Proper Flame Size Adijust flame size so it does not extend beyond the edge of the utensil The use of undersized utensils will expose a portion of the burner flame to direct contact and may result in ignition of clothing Proper relationship of utensil to flame will also improve efficiency e Know which knob controls each surface burner Place a pan of food on the burner before turning it on and turn the burner off before removing the pan e Always turn knob to the full LITE position when igniting top burners Visually check that burner has lit Then adjust the flame so it does not extend beyond the edge of the utensil e Utensil handles should be turned inward and not extend over adjacent surface burners To reduce the risk of burns ignition of flammable materials and spillage due to unintentional contact with the utensil the handle of the utensil should be positioned so that it is turned inward and does not extend over adjacent surface burners e Never leave surface burners unattended at high heat settings Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite or a pan that has boiled dry may melt e Glazed cooking utensils Only certain types of glass glass ceramic ceramic earthenware or other glazed utensils are suitable for cook top service without breaking due to the sudden change in temperature Check the manufacturer s recommendations for cook top use e When flaming f

9. a cloth Dry with a clean cloth For general cleaning use hot soapy water and a cloth For more difficult soils and built up grease apply a liquid detergent directly onto the soil Leave on soil for 30 to 60 minutes Rinse with a damp cloth and dry Do not use abrasive cleaners on any of these materials they can scratch To remove control knobs turn to the OFF position grasp firmly and pull straight off the shaft To replace knobs after cleaning line up the flat sides of both the knob and the shaft then push the knob into place Before cleaning the control panel turn all controls to OFF and remove the control knobs To remove pull each knob straight off the shaft Clean using hot soapy water and a dishcloth Rinse with a clean water using a dishcloth Be sure to squeeze excess water from the cloth before wiping the panel especially when wiping around the controls Excess water in or around the controls may cause damage to the appliance To replace knobs after cleaning line up the flat sides of both the knob and the shaft then push the knob into place If your range finish is Easy Care Stainless Steel some models clean the stainless with warm soapy water using a clean sponge or cloth Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft clean cloth DO NOT use ANY store bought cleaners like Stainless Steel cleaners or any other types of cleaners containing any abrasive chlorides chlorines or ammonia It is recommended to use mild dish s
10. choose to use oven rack position 7 17 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Adjusting the oven temperature Your appliance has been factory calibrated and tested to ensure an accurate baking temperature For the first few uses follow your recipe times and temperature recommendations carefully If you think the oven is cooking too hot or too cool for your recipe times you can adjust the control so the oven cooks hotter or cooler than the temperature displayed To adjust oven temperature 1 Press Bake 2 Set the temperature to 550 F 287 C by pressing and holding the A 3 Within 2 seconds press and hold Bake until numeric digit s appear Release Bake keypad The display now indicates the amount of degrees offset between the original factory temperature setting and the current temperature setting If the oven control has the original factory calibration the display will read 0 4 The temperature can now be adjusted up or down 35 F 19 C in 5 F increments by pressing and holding the A or V Adjust until the desired amount of offset appears in the display When lowering the oven temperature a minus sign will appear before the number to indicate that the oven will be cooler by the displayed amount of degrees 5 When you have made the desired adjustment press Clear Off to go back to the time of day display amp NOTES Oven temperature adjustments made will not affect the broil or self cleaning feature temperatures
11. pad you want to change 2 Press the A or V to adjust the setting SETTING OVEN CONTROLS WARNING FOOD POISONING HAZARD Do not let food sit for more than one hour before or after cooking Doing so can result in food poisoning or sickness CAUTION Use caution with the timed bake and delayed timed bake features Foods that can easily spoil such as milk eggs fish meat or poultry should be chilled in the refrigerator first Even when chilled they should not stand in the oven for more than 1 hour before cooking begins and should be removed promptly when cooking is completed mA IMPORTANT Dark or dull pans absorb more heat than shiny bake ware resulting in dark or overbrowning of foods It may be necessary to reduce the oven temperature or cook time to prevent overbrowning of some foods Dark pans are recommended for pies Shiny pans are recom mended for cakes cookies and muffins amp NOTE During a delayed timed bake the preheat indicator light will not function until the set time to start cooking is reached 15 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Setting Convec Convection Benefits of Convec feature Foods may cook up to 25 to 30 faster saving time and energy Multiple rack baking No special pans or bakeware needed The Convec feature uses a fan to circulate the oven s heat uniformly and continuously around the oven This improved heat distribution allows for fast even cooking and browning resul
12. prepared Select a burner and flame size appropriate for the cookware size Setting a surface burner 1 Place cooking utensil on center of surface burner grate Make sure the cooking untensil is centered and stable on the grate 2 Push the desired surface control knob in and turn counterclockwise out of the OFF position Fig 1 3 Release the knob and rotate to the LITE position Visually check that the gas burner has lit 4 Push the control knob in and turn counterclockwise to the desired flame size Use the control knob markings and adjust the flame as needed CAUTION Do not place flammable items such as plastic salt and pepper shakers spoon holders or plastic wrappings on the cooktop when it is in use These items could melt or ignite Potholders towels or wooden spoons could catch fire if placed too close to the range cooktop NOTES DO NOT cook with the surface control knob left in the LITE position The electronic ignitor will continue to spark if the control knob is left in the LITE position When setting any surface control knob to the LITE position all electronic surface ignitors will spark at the same time However only the surface burner you are setting will ignite SETTING SURFACE CONTROLS OFF lite hi 6 5 4 3 2 lo Fig 1 J IMPORTANT e Do not place aluminum foil or ANY material that can melt on the range cooktop If these items melt they may permantely damage the cookto
13. seconds will display The minute timer will not start or stop the cooking process It serves as an extra timer in the kitchen that will beep when the set time has run out The minute timer can be used alone or while using any of the other oven features If another feature is active when the minute timer is active the minute timer will show in the display To view information about other active features press the pad for that feature Changing between continuous bake setting or 12 Hour Energy Saving feature The oven control has a built in 12 Hour Energy Saving feature that will shut off the oven if the oven is left on for more than 12 hours The oven control can be programmed to override this feature for continuous baking Changing to continuous bake setting 1 Press and hold Timer On Off down for 6 seconds until a tone sounds hr will appear in display for continuous cooking The current time of day will return to the display 2 To cancel the continuous bake setting press Timer On Off and hold for 6 seconds until a tone sounds 12hr will appear in display indicating that the control has returned to the 12 Hour Energy Saving feature mJ IMPORTANT This feature does not change how the cooktop controls operate 13 SETTING OVEN CONTROLS Setting Bake The oven can be programmed to bake at any temperature from 170 F to 550 F 77 C to 287 C The factory preset automatic bake temperature is 350 F 177

If the fat is too cool the food will absorb the fat and be greasy If the fat is too hot the food will brown so quickly that the center will be undercooked Do not attempt to deep fat fry too much food at once as the food will neither brown or cook properly Flame Size Type of Cooking High Flame Start most foods bring water to a boil pan broiling Maintain a slow boil thicken sauces gravies steaming Medium Flame Low Flame Keep foods cooking poach stewing These settings are based for medium weight metal or aluminum pans with lids Settings may vary when using other types of pans Fig 2 4 CAUTION Never extend the flame beyond the outer edge of the cooking utensil A higher flame wastes energy and increases your risk of being burned by the flame Fig 3 Incorrect flame setting Setting surface controls Your gas appliance may be equipped with many different sized surface burners The ability to heat food quicker and in larger volumes increases as the burner size increases The smaller simmer burner some models is best suited for simmering delicate sauces etc The standard size 9 000 BTU burners may be used for most surface cooking needs The larger quick boil burner or burners some models are best used when bringing large quantities of liquid to temperature and when preparing larger quantities of food It is important to select cookware that is suitable for the amount and type of food being
