Note Before replacing any electrical parts such as SUx Scanner Control Unit or the CIS Unit the parameter block should be erased and the scanner calibrated This will solve the problem in most cases especially if the reported problem is about image quality or identifying the calibration sheet The Pressure Rollers and the Glass Plate should also be inspected for wear and tear 3 2 This is a suggested Troubleshooting Sequence and will work in most cases There are always some gray zones especially if the problem is related to image quality Does CIS Module flash when opened all Can Paper be loaded Does the scanne scan Can the scanner be calibrated Do steaks appear i the scan Clean Scanner inspect SM sheet and run SM till Streak banding heck L Sensor fo Check power connection and power supply And repair blockage Does light come on A HW error is the mos likely cause of the problem Check sensors by blocking one by on RGB Does corresponding colo light up block Erase parameter Does WIDEsyste giving you an error code Can the scanner be calibrated Are there banding matching the CIS modules A HW error is the mos likely cause of the RGB sensors Does rollers move HW error is the most likely cause of the problem Troubleshoot according to error code and repair
