NIDIA BG Pho gt o 95 Commander Connect Owners Manual Operation with a parent PABX You can connect the Commander Connect to a parent PABX via its Line interfaces You can program any of the eleven Outgoing Groups to work with a parent PABX When programming the Outgoing Groups as PABX groups PABX access digits and the number of digits in a PABX Station number are entered The PABX access digits are the digits that must be dialled to select an exchange Line in the parent PABX You can have a maximum of two PABX access digits If you wish to make an external call via the parent PABX you must select a line connected to the PABX placing the access digit s before the external number you require If you wish to make a call to a parent PABX Station you must select a Line connected to the PABX and dial the Station number without any access digit s Note The system will take the access digits into account in deciding whether the Station is restricted from making the call according to its Class of Service that is a Station prevented from making external calls will be also prevented from making external calls through the parent PABX Both external numbers and PABX Station numbers may be entered into Personal and System Speed Dial lists When a speed dial number is selected for dialling the system checks whether the number is a PABX Station by checking the number of digits against the programmed Station numbe

Commander Connect Owners Manual To dedicate an exchange Line to a Manager s Station e From the Programming Station press the PROGRAM Key e Select System programming e Enter the System Programming Password and select Lines e Select Outgoing restriction e Select the Line to be dedicated to the Station e The Station Menu is presented Select the Stations as necessary to leave the manager s Station the only Station with a 0 Press the Hands free Key to finish programming To program a key to page the Secretary s Station directly This programs a key on the Manager s Station that when pressed calls the Secretary s Station which automatically answers the call allowing the Manager to speak over the Secretary s Station speaker e From the Manager s Station press the PROGRAM Key e Press the Scroll Down Key N until Key Programming is displayed e Select Key programming e Select the Programmable Key you want to program e Press the Scroll Down Key N until Voice call is displayed e Select the Voice call option e Select Enter data and enter the Secretary s Station number e Select Confirm Press the Hands free Key to finish programming Note The Secretary Station must be programmed to receive Call Waiting tones See page 50 To program a key to call the Secretary s Station directly With this feature set the Manager can call the Secretary while the Secret

To make an external call e Lift the Handset or use a Hands free Key if available on your telephone e Obtain a free Line in one of the following ways Dial 0 to select a Line from Outgoing Group 1 Dial 760 769 to select a Line from Outgoing Groups 2 11 respectively e Dial the number you require To make an internal call e Lift the Handset or use a Hands free Key if available on your telephone e Dial the desired Station number 20 59 To answer a call e When the telephone rings lift the Handset or use a Hands free Key if available on your telephone Holding and transferring calls To place a call on hold e Press the Recall Key R on your telephone If you replace the Handset you can continue to use your telephone The held call will call back within 90 seconds provided your telephone is idle If you are busy on the telephone after the 90 seconds the call will ring when the Handset is replaced To retrieve the call placed on hold lift the Handset and dial the code 719 To transfer a call e Press the Recall Key R on your telephone e Dial the Station number and replace the Handset To make an external consultation call While on an external call you can contact another Station to make an enquiry as follows e While on an external call press the Recall Key R on your telephone e Dial the Station number e To return to the external call and place the Station on hold press R and dial 2 e To return
