9. and Use Harness System C Harness Adjuster 5 To loosen harness system The Harness Adjuster is located at the Lower end of the Infant Seat between the child s feet Press the yellow center button and pull the harness system outward from the seat back over the baby s shoulder 6 To Tighten Harness System Lock Chest Clip and 5 Point Buckle Pull Harness webbing out until harness is snug over the child s shoulder Note A snug strap should not allow any slack It lies ina relatively straight line without sagging It does not press on the child s flesh or push the child s body into an unnatural position Prevent injury Always have child restrained with harness system when child is in this Infant Seat Section 7 Installation and Use Harness System D Shoulder Height Adjustment 7 To Raise or Lower Harness Loosen harness system Pull out the yellow adjustment knob located on the seat back and slide the adjustment to either the upper or lower slot depending upon the height of the child Note After adjustment for shoulder height move yellow knob up and down to ensure the yellow knob has engaged Note The harness should be at m e or below the shoulder of the child Note You should not be able to pinch excess webbing if the harness properly fastened Note A snug strap should not allow any slack It lies in a relatively straight line without sagging It does no
10. at belt systems LAP SHOULDER BELTS Combination lap shoulder belt with locking latch plate This type of belt system has a latch plate that will not allow the lap portion of the belt to loosen once it is buckled The belt is tightend by pulling hard on the shoulder portion of the vehiclebelt while pushing down on the restraint Combination lap shoulder belt with sliding latch plate This type of belt system has a latch plate that allows the belt to slide through even when it is buckled Many vehicles with this type of seat belt system can be locked by pulling all the seat belt webbing out Refer to your vehicle owner s manual for details on switching the retractor from ELR mode to ALR mode The belt is tightend by pulling hard on the shoulder portion of the vehicle belt while pushing down on the restraint 12 LAP BELTS Manually adjusted lap belt This type of lap belt is tightened by 17 pulling on the excess belt once it is 2 buckled Lap belt with automatic locking retractor ALR This belt system s retractor locks automatically and does not allow the lap belt to lengthen once it is buckled cH Tighten by feeding the autobelt back into the retractor while pushing down on the infant restraint Unsafe Vehicle Seat Belt Systems DO NOT use this Infant seat with the following vehicle seat belts Passive Restraints Passive Restraints Motorized Lap Or Shoulder Shoulder Belt Belt Mo
