Getting Started Hooking up the system Perform the following procedure J to E to hook up your system using the supplied cords and accessories AM loop antenna FM antenna peels Bulyey f Right speaker Left speaker El Connect the speakers Connect the right and left speaker cords to the SPEAKER terminals as shown below Jack type Extend the FM wire AM loop antenna horizontally antenna Connect the FM and AM antennas Set up the AM loop antenna then connect it Extend the FM wire antenna AM loop horizontally antenna continued 7 28 Hooking up the system continued For models with a voltage selector set VOLTAGE SELECTOR to the local power line voltage 110V 120V 220V 240V VOLTAGE SELECTOR E Connect the power cord to a wall outlet If the plug does not fit the wall socket detach the supplied plug adaptor only for models equipped with an adaptor To turn on the system press Ve Inserting two R6 size AA batteries into the remote Tip When the remote no longer operates the system replace both batteries with new ones Note If you do not use the remote for a long period of time remove the batteries to avoid possible damage from battery leakage and corrosion gc8 Setting the clock 1 Press 1 to turn on the system 2 Press CLOCK TIMER SET on the

Specifically a character string such as the following is written in the disc title recording area Disc title recording area a aa Md 5 hock E 9 Pops Hoss The disc title is Favorites Tracks 1 to 5 are registered in the Rock group Tracks 6 to 9 are registered in the Pops group Therefore when an MD recorded using the Group Function is loaded on a system that does not support the Group Function or on this system with the Group Function turned off the above character string is displayed in its entirety as the disc title Note that if you rewrite this character string by mistake using the Name Function you may be unable to use the Group Function of that MD GROUP indicator flashes To use the Group Function again first perform the procedure for Releasing the registrations of all tracks on an MD on page 32 and release the registrations of all tracks on the MD Notes e The Group Function setting is stored even if you eject the MD or turn off the system e When the Group Function is on tracks which are not registered to a group are not displayed and cannot be played e You cannot change the group order e If you load a disc with group management information written in other than the proper format GROUP indicator flashes In this case you cannot use the Group Function Recording into an existing group After step 4 press GROUP SKIP repeatedly until the desir
