17. p 62 Storage Procedure When the Start key is pressed the originals are scanned After the originals are scanned the remaining time for accepting the next original is displayed Scan Settings T Sided Original SADF E Original Settings 5 If you want to change the basic settings the scanning area or the original orientation change the settings before placing the next original FY Note O While settings are being changed the countdown until originals are no longer accepted stops g When there are other originals to scan place them within the speci fied time When placed the originals are fed and scanned automatically u Repeat from step B until all origi nals are scanned Bis there are no more originals press the key FY Note O Originals are scanned in order Place them from the first page O Press the Start key if you want to restart before the countdown stops O When SADF is selected and originals are being scanned by dividing them and scanning them consecutively using the ADF the next original to be added can be placed on the ex posure glass to be scanned In this case the Start key must be pressed to begin scanning Stored scan data can be sent to a specified destination using e mail This chapter explains the preparation for sending data by e mail various display screens de livery procedures and how to check the sending result when this function is

Document Server function and the network TWAIN scanner func tion The scanner settings consist of the fol lowing For the list about settings and defaults see p 11 Scanner Features Send Store Connection Timeout When the machine is functioning as an e mail or network delivery scanner or Document Server a scanning request to the machine as a TWAIN scanner will switch the machine to the network TWAIN scanner function This setting de termines the delay until the ma chine switches to network TWAIN scanner function e When Immediate is selected the machine will switch to the net work TWAIN scanner function at once e When Set Time is selected you can enter the delay time with the number keys 3 to 30 sec onds The machine switch to the network TWAIN scanner function when the time set here passes after the last key opera tion Initial Scanner Setup KO Compression Black amp White This setting determines whether image data scanned with the black and white setting is to be compressed Y Note O The actual time required for data transfer will vary depend ing on the data size and net work load O Compression reduces the time required for transferring the scan data to the computer or e mail server Compression Gray Scale This setting determines to what ex tent image data scanned with the grayscale setting is to be com pressed You can select Standard High Low or O
