1. Start Configuration Wizard This wizard will guide the user through the following configuration tasks Configuration options selected here can be modified individually later 1 Create RAID Group A new RAID Group is created or an existing RAID Groups is selected in order to create a new Logical Volume 2 Create Volume Create Volume in Created Selected RAID Group 3 Configure Host Access Configure Host Access connection 4 Set Affinity Group Create or Modify Affinity Group 5 Define LUN Map Specify LUN Map for access by Host s connected to each Port Click Start to start the Configuration Wizard Create RAID Group Create Volume Define Host 7 2 2 Configuration Wizard in the User Guide See g Default RAID groups volumes and affinity groups are preset in the factory Refer to Web Configure Affinity Group Define LUN Mapping GUI User Guide if the preset values are to be changed El Assigning Hot Spares Register hot spares for use in case the regular disks fail The Assign Hot Spare screen appears by clicking Assign Hot Spare under the RAID Group Management menu on the Volume Settings tab See 7 2 3 Hot Spare Registration in the User Guide Check the factory settings and register a hot spare as required STEP Monitoring Setup A Perform the ETERNUS DX60 DX80 monitoring setup if required Notification of ETERNUS DX60 DX80 problems as they occur is possible if2.
