1. Warning Power sources e This equipment should be operated only from the power source indicated on the product This equipment is intended to be used with a main power system with a grounded neutral conductor The third grounding pin is a safety feature do not attempt to bypass or disable it Power disconnection e To remove power from the equipment safely remove all power cords from the rear of the equipment or the desktop power module if detachable or from the power source receptacle wall plug Power cord protection e Power cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be stepped on or pinched by items placed upon or against them Servicing e Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel There are no user serviceable parts inside To prevent the risk of shock do not attempt to service this equipment yourself because opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards Slots and openings e If the equipment has slots or holes in the enclosure these are provided to prevent overheating of sensitive components inside These openings must never be blocked by other objects Lithium battery e There is a danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced Replace it only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufactu

Plenum Jacket Intact Strip plenum jacket from speaker cable to reveal two speaker wires If the sensor is to be located in a plenum space feed a loop of one of the exposed speaker wires through the cable clamp into the junction box The other wire must bypass the sensor to be connected later directly to the speaker 4 Open the top of the Priority Page Sensor and loop the speaker wire that is inside the junction box tightly around the top part of the sensor KA Loop only one of the speaker wires around the Priority N Page Sensor sensor cover Do not loop both wires Polarity need not be observed Ceiling Mounted Paging Speaker The other speaker wire must bypass the sensor and connect directly to the speaker e Fora 25 V or 70 V system wrap 5 to 8 loops e Fora4 8 ohm system wrap 2 to 4 loops 4 Open the sensor and loop a wire around the sensor 2 30 PoleVault Systems Installation e Optional Accessory Installation Close and latch the top of the Priority Page Sensor Reconnect the speaker cable to the speaker Cut an 18 45 cm section from the unterminated end of the supplied blue sensor cable Use it to connect the Relay Out port on the Priority Page Controller to the Mute and Ground pins on the PoleVault PVS 204SA Vol Mute port see the figure at right Polarity need not be observed Do not connect either of the outputs from the Priority Page Controller to the 10V port on the PVS 2

C e CAT 5 cables for signal transmission from the A V wall plates to the PVS 204SA eu For PVT RGB D wall plates two CAT 5 signal cables for each input are needed Maximum distance from the PVS 204SA to the Wall plates is 100 feet The optimum distance is between 50 and 75 feet The CAT 5 cables supplied are terminated to the TIA 568A standard Other CAT 5 cables can be used if they are TIA 568A or 568B standards and terminated to the same standard at both ends d A e CAT 5 cables for MLC network connection e PoleVault switcher communication cable from the MediaLink controller e Projector communication cables from the MediaLink controller Drill cable pathways through any obstructions e g wall caps fire breaks or horizontal studs Label the CAT 5 signal cables at both ends with the supplied labels Refer to the PVS 204SA User s Manual for labeling details Pull the cabling through the wall from the ceiling space down to the location of the transmitters and other wall devices and out through the openings va Secure cables with cable clamps to provide strain relief Trim back the outer foil shield to the point where the cable exits the cable clamp and insulate exposed cable shields with heat shrink to reduce the chance of short circuits Both braided and foil shields should be connected to an equipment ground at the other end of the cable PoleVault Systems Installation e Ins
