V SPEEDOMETER amp TACHOMETER The speedometer and tachometer signals are read from the engine control module ECM over a data bus The speed can be calibrated to allow for differences in tires or gearing calibration is discussed later The tach bar displays rom x1000 with a range of 7000 rom The rpm can also optionally be shown on the message display CLOCK The clock uses a 12 hour format and can be set by pressing and holding the switch while the clock is displayed After the switch is held for a few seconds the hours will begin flashing Momentarily pressing the switch will change the hours holding the switch will move to the minute set and the minutes will begin flashing Momentarily pressing the switch will now change the minutes Holding the switch will exit the clock set mode MOUNTING The gauge will mount into the original housing using original grommet screws and mounting clip Remove the stock gauge by pulling it out of the housing using a slight rocking motion it is held in place by a plastic mounting clip on the back of the gauge Once out remove the two screws from the back of the mounting clip then unplug the gauge Remove the grommet from the stock gauge and install it over the MCL 3207 Plug in the MCL 3207 and secure the mounting clip with the two screws Push the gauge firmly back into the hole making sure the clip lines up with the slots in the dash and also watching that wires are not damaged or pinched see photos below a

WWW DAKOTADIGITAL COM MODEL MCL 3207 3 3 8 SPEEDOMETER TACHOMETER for 2008 2010 Rocker IMPORTANT NOTE This gauge has an odometer preset option that is only available one time in the first 100 miles 160km of operation See Odometer preset for instructions GAUGE SETUP AND CALIBRATION The setup menus are entered by holding the switch in while turning the key on The menus are as follows Menu Description d A9 read diagnostic codes AdduSe adjust calibrate speed un IE select speed unit MPH or km h 5 SEE miles to service setting 9EAr transmission gear display selection PEGE turn on off performance displays BERT set temperature warning point lula RPM set RPM shift warning point buArn set low volt warning point CL CAL adjust clock calibration n IHE turn on off automatic night dimming FUEL low fuel light setup inFO display gauge revision code on speedometer odo one time odometer preset POWER amp GROUND The gauge is a direct plug in Constant battery power and key switched power are supplied by the stock harness along with ground STATUS AND WARNING INDICATORS Several indicators are supplied on the stock wiring harness Some of these may not be active on your motorcycle These include the security engine ABS and low fuel LOW VOLTAGE WARNING When the voltage drops below the warning limit with the engine running LO and your current voltage will be displayed default warning limit is 11 0

13. switch until the desired setting is displayed e Press and hold the switch until is displayed to save the setting SEAr Gear Indicator setup This gauge has a single digit display for gear position The gauge can learn the gear ratios based on speed and rpm so no sensors are needed just what you ve already connected It will work with 4 5 6 or 7 speed transmissions The factory preset option will preset the indicator to work with a stock 5 or 6 speed drive train With a stock 6 speed there will be a slight delay the first time you shift to sixth gear as the system verifies the gear Subsequent shifts to sixth gear will not have the delay You can also program each gear position for aftermarket transmissions or if you ve changed wheel size or sprocket size To program the gear positions begin at a section of road where you can gradually shift through all of the gears Press and hold the switch while turning the key on and starting the engine Once the engine is running release the switch e Press and release the switch until SEA is displayed press and hold the switch until is displayed e The display will show oFF Pr eS t P 883 or LEArn oFF will disable the indicator PrESEE will set the indicator for an original factory transmission F 883 will set the indicator for a Sportster 883 transmission LEArn allows it to work with virtually any transmission option e To prog
