7. ion power control The variable suction power control is located on the top of the vacuum Turn the control toward the larger dots for maximum suction Turn the control toward the smaller dots to minimize suction for lightly soiled areas or delicate fabrics A CAUTION Before using your vacuum make sure that the dust bag and alll filters pre motor an post motor are in place Do not operate your vacuum without the dust bag and filters Bissell www bissell ca 1 800 263 2535 Operations Bag change indicator The bag change indicator is located below the swivel hose If the ba Bag Change change indicator turns orange while ie aia you are vacuuming the dust bag needs to be replaced The dust bag may ls gree to be full or only par tially full depending upon the type of debris picked up Fine particles can block the airflow in the dust bag and reduce suction before the dust bag is full If the bag change indicator remains orange even after changing the dust bag turn the vacuum off and check for a clog in the hose or tools Dust bag replacement 1 Turn the power OFF Unplug the vacuum from electrical outlet 2 Disconnect hose 3 Open the dust bag compartment by lift ing up on the latch on the door on the front of the vacuum 4 Lift out the dust bag holder and dust bag 5 Release the dust bag from the holder by pressing the dust bag holder clip and pulling the dust bag out of the hol

13. y hand e in warm water A mild detergent can be used if desired Allow the filter to air dry completely before replacing 6 Place the filter back into the filter frame and replace back into the filter holder NOTE The filter frame should be placed so the protective frame is visible 7 Place dust bag holder and dust bag into the dust bag compartment making sure the entire bag is tucked in below the seal gasket Pre Motor Filter Post Motor Filter 8 Close dust bag compartment door and press down gently until it locks into place 9 Reconnect hose Thermal motor protection Tip An internal thermal protector has been E l designed into your cleaner to protect BE e eanna it from overheating When the thermal E o a protector activates the main vacuum motor will stop operating If this happens proceed as follows 1 Turn the cleaner OFF and unplug from electrical outlet 2 Check the cleaner for the source of overheating A WARN I NG problem ie Full dirt cup dirty filters or clog Do not operate cleaner wit replace if necessary damp or wet filters or 3 Fix the problem by gan steps in without all filters in place t the maintenance section of the user guide 4 When the motor cools for approximately 30 minutes the thermal protector will reset and cleaning may continue If the cleaner will not turn on or the thermal protector continues to activate your cleaner may need servicing Call BISSELL Co
