C SEARCH SYSTEM A momentary press of this button will activate the Rewind Music Search System function MSS moving bars and flashing 1 will appear on the display panel The unit will automatically rewind to the beginning of the present selection and begin play To search for a particular selection tap the button until the respective number up to 9 flashes on the display panel For example to move backward 3 selections from the present point on the tape including the present selection tap the button 3 times until the number 3 flashes on the display panel The unit will rewind 3 selections and begin play To stop Music Search function at any point press the Program Selector button or tap the Fast Forward button to reduce the number of the selection being searched Pressing and holding the Rewind button for longer than 0 5 seconds will cause the tape to continually move in the reverse direction of play moving bars will appear on the display panel To stop Rewind movement press the Program Selector button 8 and normal play will resume PROGRAM SELECTOR PROG Press this button to manuallv reverse tape direction and plav the other side program of the cassette The change of direction will be shown by the 1 or 2 indication on the display panel 9 EJECT BUTTON A Tape playback is stopped and the cassette is ejected by pressing this button Radio or CD changer operation will automatically l re

N When the Scan button is pressed the first 10 seconds of each track on the disc will be played in order SCAN will appear on the display panel and the track number will flash When a desired track is reached press the Scan button again and play of that track will continue SCAN will disappear from the display panel and the track number will stop flashing The Track Scan mode will also be canceled by activating the Disc Select amp Track Select Repeat 6 or Shuffle G2 functions When the Scan button is pressed and held longer than 2 seconds the first 10 seconds of the first track on each disc will be played SCAN will appear on the display panel and the disc number will flash When a desired disc is reached press the Scan button again and play of the disc will continue SCAN will disappear from the display panel and the disc number will stop flashing The Disc Scan mode will also be canceled by activating the Disc Select 6 amp Track Select Repeat 6 or Shuffle G2 functions CD CHANGER ERROR CODES If a problem should develop while operating the CD changer the following error codes may appear on the display panel EJ Indicates that there is no magazine loaded in the CD changer no_d Indicates that there are no discs loaded in the CD magazine in the changer E 01 etc Indicates an error in the laser reading the disc in slot 1 of the magazine E 02 for disc in slot 2 etc Eject the magazin

11. feature as described in section B 3 STATION PRE SET MEMORIES To set any of the 6 pre set memories in each band use the following procedure 1 Turn the radio on and select the desired band 2 Select the first station to be pre set using the Manual Up Down or Automatic Seek Tuning Controls d Press the pre set button to be set and continue to hold it in After approximately 2 seconds the display will flash and the volume will be momentarily muted indicating that the station is now Set into that pre set memory position The station can now be recalled at any time by pressing that button Repeat the above procedure for the remaining 5 pre sets on that band and for the other 2 bands on the unit 4 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL The Liquid Crystal Display LCD panel displays the frequency time and activated functions 3 4 NOTE It is a characteristic of LCD panels that if subjected to cold temperatures for an extended period of time they may take longer to illuminate than under normal conditions In addition the visibility of the numbers onthe LCD may slightly decrease The LCD read out will return to normal when the temperature increases to anormal range 5 CASSETTE DOOR Hold the cassette with the exposed tape edge to the right and insert it into the cassette door until the soft load mechanism draws the cassette in and play begins CASS and will appear on the display panel When the cassette reaches the end
12. h The Disc Repeat mode will be canceled by pressing the Repeat button again RPT will disappear from the display panel and DISC will stop flashing or by activating the Shuffle 6 or Scan 3 functions 2 TRACK DISC SHUFFLE SHF When the Shuffle button is pressed the tracks on the disc will be played in a random shuffled order SHF will appear on the display panel and TRK will flash The Track Select button will also select tracks in the shuffled order instead of the normal progression When all tracks on the disc have been played in shuffled order the next disc will be selected in normal order and its tracks played in shuffled order The Track Shuffle mode will be canceled by pressing the Shuffle button again SHF will disappear from the display panel and TRK will stop flashing or by activating the Repeat 6 or Scan 3 functions When the Shuffle button is pressed and held longer than 2 seconds both the discs and the tracks will be played in a random shuffled order SHF will appear on the display panel and DISC will flash After all tracks on the disc have been played the changer will select a new disc in shuffled order and play its tracks in shuffled order The Disc Shuffle mode will be canceled by pressing the Shuffle button again SHF will disappear from the display panel and DISC will stop flashing or by activating the Repeat GD or Scan 6 functions TRACK DISC SCAN SCA
