1. Add a shortcut to the home screen Did you know that you can create shortcuts to your most used applications and features You can add shortcuts to applications or actions suchas writing a message Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen and from the pop up menu select Add shortcut and the application or action Add your important contacts to the home screen Add your most important contacts to the home screen so you can quickly call or send messages to them Select 22 gt Contacts Select a contact that is stored in your phone memory and S gt Add to Home screen Call a contact On the home screen select the contact and press the call key If the contact has more than one number select the desired number Send a message to a contact On the home screen select the contact and Message Remove a contact from the home screen On the home screen select and hold the contact and select The contact is removed from the home screen but remains in your contacts list Organise your applications Want to find your most used applications more quickly In the main menu you can organise your applications into folders hiding your least used applications Select 22 Create a new folder Select gt New folder 36 Personalise your phone Move an application to a folder Select and hold the application and from the pop up menu select Move to folder and the new folder Tip To drag and drop application

6. 3 If the other phone requires a passcode type in the passcode in both phones The passcode is for the current connection only and you can define it yourself The passcode in some phones is fixed For details see the user guide of the other phone 4 Select what you want to copy then select OK 20 Get started If your old Nokia phone doesn t have the Phone switch app your new phone sends it ina message using Bluetooth To install the app open the message in your old phone then follow the instructions shown on the phone Tip You can also use the Phone switch app to copy content from other phones later Access codes PIN or PIN2 code 4 8 digits PUK or PUK2 code 8 digits IMEI number 15 digits Lock code security code min 4 digits or characters These protect your SIM card against unauthorised use or are required to access some features You can set your phone to ask for the PIN code when you switch it on If not supplied with your SIM card or you forget the codes contact your service provider If you type in the code incorrectly three times in a row you need to unblock the code with the PUK or PUK2 code These are required to unblock a PIN or PIN2 code If not supplied with your SIM card contact your service provider This is used to identify valid phones in the network The number can also be used to block for example stolen phones You may also need to give the number to Nokia Care servi

Do not end the call until given permission to do so When you switch your phone on for the first time you are asked to create your Nokia account To make an emergency call during the account setup press the call key Q Important Activate both cellular and internet calls if your phone supports internet calls The phone may attempt to make emergency calls both through cellular networks and through your internet call service provider Connections in all conditions cannot be guaranteed Never rely solely on any wireless phone for essential communications like medical emergencies Small children Your device and its accessories are not toys They may contain small parts Keep them out of the reach of small children Medical devices Operation of radio transmitting equipment including wireless phones may interfere with the function of inadequately protected medical devices Consult a physician or the manufacturer of the medical device to determine whether they are adequately shielded from external radio frequency energy Implanted medical devices Manufacturers of medical devices recommend a minimum separation of 15 3 centimetres 6 inches between a wireless device and an implanted medical device such as a pacemaker or implanted cardioverter defibrillator to avoid potential interference with the medical device Persons who have such devices should e Always keep the wireless device more than 15 3 centimetres 6 inches from the medical devic

23. navigate to the place to view its contact information or to save or share the location Select the place and the place is shown on the map To view the details page select the information area at the top of the screen If no search results are found make sure the spelling of your search words is correct Problems with your internet connection may also affect results when searching online If you have maps of the searched area stored on your phone to avoid data transfer costs you can also get search results without an active internet connection but the search results may be limited Download and update maps Save new street maps to your phone before a journey so you can browse the maps without an internet connection when travelling Select 83 gt Maps To download and update maps on your phone you need an active Wi Fi connection 1 Select 3 gt Map Loader gt Add new maps 2 Select a continent and a country then select Download or Check for updates Tip You can also use the Nokia Suite PC app to download the latest street maps and voice guidance files and copy them to your phone To download and install Nokia Suite go to www nokia com support When you install a newer version of the Maps app on your phone the country or region maps are deleted Before using Nokia Suite to download new maps open and close 82 Maps the Maps app and make sure you have the latest version of Nokia Suite installed on your computer C
