34. xist to allow users to view the same information in various ways For example if you wanted just to know if residents are Maintenance Shareholders or Renters and when each person moved in you could go to the All Residents view and click on the link to view that information Editing Resident Information It is important to keep in mind that when making changes to or updating Tenant Information or Rent Roll Information you should never make changes or Edit without checking the User Manual or checking in with a UHAB Staff Member When a change is made in one of the four All views the change may not be effective until it is verified in the Current views Unfortunately there is no definitive section in which you should Edit tenant and rent roll information and making a change to one section does not guarantee that the update is effective this is due to the fact that the information has been copied into the other sections allowing you to search and find information In cases where there is a Rent Increase in the building or if a Resident is moving from one apartment Unit to another there are specific commands and instructions to add that information into Connected Books Those commands can be found in the Miscellaneous Scenarios section on page 110 Z UHAB Connected Books Current Unit Resident Rent Browse Microsoft Internet Explorer File Edit view Favorites Tools Help ay 0o 0 ff A A GO 2 x

36. you can do instead is mark the user s record as Inactive This will not delete their entry but rather they will no longer be able to log into the account That way you can keep the historical record of who has had access to the building s information If that person returns to the building or moves in you can always re activate their user profile A resident has moved out of my building should I delete this person You do not want to delete that person since that would wipe out the resident from your Connected Books account as though they had never lived in the building Since financial information exists for that person you won t actually be able to delete the tenant record instead you can follow the instructions to Move that person out of the building using the Move Out instructions on page 86 of the manual I am having trouble recording a rent maintenance charge increase Ever since I recorded the increase my Rent Roll Reports have been messed up What can I do to fix this 107 Make sure that you have added the rent change properly if you have overlapping Rent Charge dates in the All Rents table it will affect your Rent Roll Report See page 114 115 for instructions on updating the Maintenance or Rent charge I was using Connected Books but when I clicked on the Submit Add button I got an error message What should I do Connected Books usually will tell you when you have made an error that needs to be cor
