14. 12 MAINTENANCE amp TROUBLESHOOTING 12 1 Maintenance Regular maintenance is essential for good performance A maintenance program should be established and should at least include the items listed in below A WARNING Do not open the equipment Hazardous voltage which can cause electrical shock burn or serious injury exists inside the equipment Only qualified personnel should work inside the equipment Recommended maintenance program Item Check point Remedy Antenna Check for loosened and corroded bolts Tighten loosened bolts Replace heavily corroded bolts Antenna cable Check connection point for watertightness Check connector for tightness and corrosion Check cables for damage Replace damaged pats Display unit connectors Check for tight connection Tighten loosened connectors Ground terminal Check for tight connection and corrosion Clean or replace as necessary Display unit Dust and foreign material on the display unit Dust may be removed with a soft cloth if necessary anti static cleaner may be used Never use chemical solvents to clean the display they can remove paint and markings LCD Dust and foreign material on the screen Wipe the LCD carefully to prevent scratching using tissue paper and an LCD cleaner To remove dirt or salt deposits use an LCD cleaner wiping slowly with tissue paper so as to disso

You are asked if you are sure to erase the waypoint 6 Press the ENTER key The waypoint is erased from both the waypoint list and the plotter screen 5 3 Changing Waypoint Data You can change the waypoint data through the waypoint list 1 Press the WPT RTE key WAYPOINTS and LOCAL LIST or ALPHA NUMERIC LIST soft keys 2 Press A or YW to select the waypoint you want to change 3 Press the EDIT WPT soft key 4 Change data as you did in Entering waypoints by the cursor 5 Press the SAVE soft key 5 WAYPOINTS 5 4 Changing Waypoint Position on the Plotter Display You may change the position of waypoints on the plotter display as follows 1 Press the WPT RTE key followed by the WAYPOINTS soft key to open the WAYPOINTS menu 2 Press the WAYPOINT BY CURSOR soft key The plotter display appears 3 Operate the cursor pad to place the cursor on the waypoint which you want to change A flashing diamond mark appears on the waypoint when it is correctly selected 4 Press the EDIT MOVE soft key Press the MOVE WPT soft key 6 Operate the cursor pad to place the cursor on the location desired 7 Press the ENTER key a The waypoint moves to the cursor position and its new position is recorded on the waypoint list If the waypoint is set as destination or is part of a route you are asked if you are sure to move the waypoint In this case press the ENTER key again to move the waypoint
