Glows red when the LCD is in POWER OFF ECO standby mode Glows amber when the LCD is in POWER OFF standby mode Blinks amber when the monitor is in Power Save Mode Green and Amber blink alternately while in Power Standby mode with the SCHEDULE SETTINGS function enabled When a component failure is detected within the monitor the indicator will blink red If OFF is selected in POWER INDICATOR see page 23 LED will not light when the LCD monitor is in active mode D AMBIENT LIGHT SENSOR Detects the level of ambient light allowing the monitor to make automatic adjustments to the brightness setting resulting in a more comfortable viewing experience Do not cover this sensor See page 18 Control Key Lock Mode This control completely locks out access to all Control Key functions To activate the control key lock function press both v and A and hold down simultaneously for more than 3 seconds To resume user mode press both W and A and hold simultaneously for more than 3 seconds The product you purchased may not have this feature APPENDIX B REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTION REMOTE CONTROL ID FUNCTION REMOTE CONTROL ID The remote control can be used to control up to 100 individual MultiSync monitors using what is called the REMOTE CONTROL ID mode The REMOTE CONTROL ID mode works in conjunction with the Monitor ID allowing control of up to 100 individual MultiSync monitors For example if there are many

Monitor Remote Control Troubleshooting If a monitor cannot be controlled with the remote control please check the following I Check the batteries in the remote control to ensure that they are good and that they are installed properly Confirm that the Main Power Supply switch on the Monitor is turned ON Check the IR transmitter via digital image cell phone digital camera etc a Point the remote control IR transmitter towards a digital camera or cell phone camera as shown in Figure 1 b Press the Power button on the remote control and you should see the light from the IR transmitter flashing as you depress the button see arrow in figure c If the light is observed the IR transmitter is working properly Continue troubleshooting with the next step d If the light is NOT observed the IR transmitter is NOT working properly You must resolve the problem with the batteries or obtain a new remote control Figure 1 Important Note To enter the On Screen Menu OSD without a properly working remote control you must utilize the buttons on the monitor to scroll through the tabs and selections with the Up Down arrow buttons buttons and Input Exit buttons See Figure 2 for a description of the buttons on the control panel The Up arrow button activates the OSD menu The complete description of the control panel buttons and the functions that they perform from the User Manual is shown in Appendix A of this document
