MERCY 0 4 Air heating 4 4 2 Indirect fired appliances TECHNICAL INFORMATION EXTENSION WITH RENOVENT HR Elan Downflow appliances can easily be extended with a Renovent HR with three connections at the top and one at the bottom The Renovent HR is placed on top of the Elan This combines the heating system with balan ced ventilation with heat recovery see also chapter Renovent HR With their identical designs the two appliances together form one optical whole CONTROL SYSTEM Elan comes as standard with a modulating control unit for the system fan The moment when the system fan rpm begins to increase depends on the setting When the air in the appliance has heated up sufficiently the temperature sensor sends a signal to the system fan to increase its rpm With the modulating control system the Elan can adjust to the opti mum operating setting in every situation The Elan appliances feature a control display on which all settings can be made INSTALLATION ELAN The Elan must be placed as close as possible to the hot water supply and exhaust The right handed version has the water connection and the electric connections to the appliance on the left hand side In addition the Elan must be placed as centrally as possible relative to the air ducts Be sure to leave sufficient room for maintenance at least 1 m free space and 1 80 m headroom at the front of the appliance The Elan must also remain free
