6. tion e When filling the reservoir pay attention that no foreign partic les or dirt enter the reservoir e Always refill the reservoir in time e Avoid contamination in the pump area Maintenance and Repair Before undertaking any repair on the pump observe the following e Loosen the pressure connection fittings in order to decrease the pressure in the system Risk of injury due to lubricant splashing under out high pressure Troubleshooting LINCOLN eae INDUSTRIAL 1 1A 78001 A96 e Do not touch the internal parts of the grease reservoir while the pump is in operation e Risk of injury due to the stirring paddle e All the components connected to the sy stem installed downstream of the pump and on which the hydraulic pump pressu re has an influence e g change over val ve metering devices tube lines tube fit tings hoses must be designed for maxi mum system pressure Repairs may only be carried out by qualified skilled person nel using original spare parts Provided that the pump dispenses only clean lubricant it does not need any particular maintenance Clean and lubricate the drive parts swivels and the ratchet gear if necessary e Fault Pump does not supply lubricant e Cause e Remedy e Reservoir empty e Suction borehole clogged e Refill the reservoir with lubricant and cycle the pump until grease is dispensed from the pressure line connection without air
