7. amp WRT HD Guardian Product Return Guardian products have been quality tested and are in full working order when shipped from the factory given the rugged nature of these products shipping is not expected to damage a unit In the unlikely event of a malfunction Guardian follows the three step procedure below Step l On Site Correction e The most common source of difficulties with a new product is improper installation in one of two ways incorrect wiring connections or connection to an incorrect power source e Product wiring needs to be properly connected to the on site wiring Correct wiring instructions are shown in the user manual included with the product e Connecting a telephone to a standard power source rather than tip amp ring will blow the telephone s internal user replaceable fuse In the event of fuse burn out disconnect the telephone from the power source replace the fuse and reconnect following the wiring diagrams provided with the product Step Il Return Materials Authorization RMA e When a product has been installed following user manual instructions and the unit fails to operate the user must contact Guardian Telecom to obtain authorization to return the product This can be done by completing a RMA form online at www guardiantelecom com or by calling the service telephone number given in this manual e After providing information on the product the owner and the nature of the problem

9. or WRT HD Telephone 1 Installation amp Operation Manual Page 2 Guardian Telecom Inc Installation and Operation Models WRT H amp WRT HD Overview WRT H amp WRT HD Series Weather Resistant Hazardous Area Telephones WRT H amp WRT HD telephones are designed to provide safe reliable communication in hazardous areas that are prone to high humidity chemical vapors dust and physical abuse Several variations and options are available to suit the end user s requirements The WRT H model is approved for use in Class I Division 2 Groups A B C amp D areas The WRT HD is available in 10 and 20 models only and these are approved for use in Class I Division 2 Groups A B C amp D and Class II Division 1 amp 2 Groups E F 8 G areas Class II compliance is accomplished by eliminating volume controls from the handset and replacing the electronic ringer with a mechanical one The units are housed in rugged weather and corrosion resistant enclosures that ensure operation in severe conditions Standard Features on All Models Enclosure e weather tight rugged Valox amp steel e Spring loaded hinged door Faceplate e 16 Gauge steel with wiring access to surge arrestor Mounting Plate e Stainless Steel mounting plate for ease of installation Encapsulated Circuitry e circuit boards are resistant to corrosive agents e g H2S SO and NHs and environments with high humidity Surge Arrestor e protects the user in the
