DIAGNOSTICS This option allows the terminal to be controlled by customer service via remote control Again this is an option used for technical purposes only 66 NURIT 3000 3010 User Manual 08232001 CHAPTER 3 BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING This section briefly describes how to troubleshoot some possible common problems that may rise during the normal operation of the NURIT 3000 3010 Before requesting service for this unit check the list below for a possible cause of the problem you are experiencing Some simple checks on your part may solve the problem and restore proper operation If you are still unable to solve the problem contact the technical support help desk Do NOT try to solve the problem by opening the terminal yourself Terminal seems to have no power e Make sure the AC adapter is fully plugged into the wall outlet and that its barrel connector mates properly with the terminal s PWR jack e If using the NURIT 3010 try pressing lt ON STANDBY gt on the keypad e If using the NURIT 3010 allow the battery to charge 10 to 12 hours with the terminal on and AC adapter plugged into the wall in standby mode NO LINE appears on the display e Check that the telephone RJ 11 connector is securely mated with the TEL socket on the terminal and into the wall e NURIT was designed for a dedicated phone line It should not be on a splitter or on a rollover phone system e An exchange prefix may or may not be nee
