Being the file size too big for an internet transmit in general the master updates are primarily provided contained in a CD or DVD and it is supplied to the individual customers by the local distributor When receiving a master CD DVD from the local distributor make sure to check the followings 1 Your G scan is registered at GIT s Sales Management Server and is within valid update period as of the day the master CD DVD is released 2 The master CD DVD is of the latest version 3 CD DVD is released for your country and supplied by the authorized local distributor 4 Your G scan is purchased in your country through the authorized distributor A Caution The master CD DVD is released for each country and is Region sensitive It is supplied by the authorized distributors for their own local customers only f you update your G scan using a master CD DVD which is neither released for your country nor supplied by your authorized local distributor or if your G scan is not registered at GIT s Sales Management Server at all IT WILL CAUSE YOUR G SCAN TO STOP OPERATING NORMALLY Please be advised that such a problem caused by unauthorized attempt to update software is not subject to warranty service therefore cost and fees for repair or restoration may be charged by the authorized local distributor It is extremely important to understand that the update master CD DVD is region sensitive Do not try to update G scan using t

Core codes 41 G scan User Manual The larger portion of the entire codes was not standardized due to fundamental differences of each car Make s system design or diagnostic strategy The codes that are reserved for each car manufacturer s own definition are called Enhanced Codes or Non standard codes CO and BO codes are also defined as the Generic Codes However the actual list of the standard codes for these Body and Chassis control systems has not been released to public yet Therefore it is assumed that there are no known Generic Codes for these systems The codes that Generic OBD2 EOBD function can access are just the Generic Codes If any enhanced or non standard code is detected the scan tool shows it as an Undefined or Unknown code because these non standard codes are defined differently by the car manufacturers Enhanced Codes can be properly read in accordance with the manufacturer s own definitions please select the Diagnosis from the initial menu and follow the model selection procedure EOBD and OBD II Revision Version 1996 The generic standard codes were originally defined by the SAE Society of Automotive Engineers document J2012 published by in 1992 At the time of publication of the document P2 and P3 codes were reserved for future use and not included in the standard codes Revision in 2002 after EOBD implementation When the EOBD was mandated in 2001
