O OO O O OSO O OO O SS O OO O DD OE How Files Are Printed The LaserWriter is a very high resolution 300 dots per inch printer Working with this printer geoPubLaser can print all types of geoPublish files Both text and graphics can be printed Resident Fonts The LaserWriter contains several internal fonts that can be printed with a high resolution These fonts apply to both text regions and special text These fonts are Times Roman Helvetica Symbol and Courier as well as the bold italic and bold italic styles of these except for Symbol It is these internal LaserWriter fonts referred to as resident fonts that produce the best printed output The LaserWriter will use these internal fonts in place of certain GEOS fonts The following table summarizes this substitu tion LaserWriter Fonts GEOS Fonts Times Roman substituted for LW Roma also Roma Helvetica Substituted for LW Cal also California Symbol substituted for LW Greek Courier substituted for LW Barrows NOTE Roma and California used for Times Roman and Helvetica do not produce as fine results as the other fonts above including LW Roma and LW Cal The GEOS fonts LW Roma LW Cal LW Greek and LW Barrows are found on back of your geoPublish upgrade program disk Non resident Fonts Non resident fonts are fonts that are not supported by the LaserWriter geoPubLaser prints text in non resident fonts by sending the LaserWriter a pixel by pixel
