3. 48UA UH Packaged Rooftop Cooling Heat Pump and Gas Heating Units User manual INTRODUCTION This document contains instructions for the use and maintenance of your packaged rooftop gas heating unit The gas heating system is designed to be used as an alternative to the hot water coil or electric heating options The rooftop unit is available with three gas heating modules with two step heating for natural gas and one step heating for LPG in 48UA UH 045 075 series rooftop units In 483UA UH 085 120 series rooftop units two of same modules are working in series with three step heating for natural gas and two step heating for LPG The 48UA UH series units are high efficiency forced convec tion air heaters designed to provide space heating using an air moving device The appliances have fully automatic control using the latest electronics This includes automatic direct burner ignition and operational functions with built in safety and diagnostic capability A Pro Dialog user interface provides effective visual system status and fault diagnostic indication A sophisticated optional interface is also available The 48UA UH series units are available with the following heat output capabilities Model 48UA UH 045 48UA UH 055 48UA UH 065 48UA UH 075 48UA UH 085 48UA UH 100 48UA UH 120 Gas modules 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 2 2 2 Heating elements 5 6 5 6 6 7 6 7 10 12 10
4. and unobstructed If these checks do not reveal the cause call your servicing dealer If your unit is not operating at all check the following list for easy solutions e Check to be sure that your Pro Dialog control setpoint is set above the indoor temperature during the heating season or below the indoor temperature during the cooling season e Is the power supply to the appliance switched on Are any external fuses blown or has the external circuit breaker tripped e During the heating season check the isolation shut off valve Is this lever parallel with the pipe indicating that the valve is open Or is the lever at a right angle indicating that the valve is closed If closed has the gas been shut off for safety reasons Otherwise you may open the valve and follow the start up procedures listed in this manual e If your unit still fails to operate call your service dealer for troubleshooting and repairs Specify the model and serial numbers of your unit Record them in this manual in the space provided If the service dealer knows exactly which unit you have and has the details of the fault experienced he may be able to suggest reset procedures that can be carried out using the Pro Dialog interface Good preparation for the service call will also save valuable time In case of a fault If after performing the above unit performance is unsatis factory shut off the unit and call your dealer SELVICe CEdler S aMiC see

6. rea around the unit clear and free of combustible materials gasoline and other flammable liquids and vapours To ensure proper functioning of the unit the combustion flow and ventilating air must not be obstructed from reaching the unit Check access and clearance around the unit Make sure personnel can move freely around the unit A minimum two metre clearance must be left in front of the gas module side Routine maintenance and care for the equipment If it is suspected that there may be a fault with either the system or the unit do not use the unit until the suspected fault has been investigated and rectified by a competent person Turn off the power and gas supply to your unit Regular service and maintenance Your unit should be inspected regularly by a properly trained service technician An inspection preferably each year but at least every other year is recommended Your servicing dealer may offer an economical service contract that covers seasonal inspections Ask for further details Order No 14826 20 01 2012 Supersedes order No New Manufacturer reserves the right to change any product specifications without notice Before you call for service check for several easily solved problems If insufficient heating or cooling is suspected the following external non appliance inspections can be made e Check for sufficient air flow Check for blocked return or supply air grilles Be sure they are open
