1. door reversal is not possible on Global 8FD 48FD Here the door is replaced by a new left hung door Your dealer can assist you 2 Electrical connection The appliance complies with EU requirements for radio noise sup pression in accordance with Directive 82 499 EEC The cabinet should be connected to a socket rated at the correci voltage and frequency This is specified on the manufacturer s pla te on the back of the cabinet The normal voltage for Europe is 230V 50Hz Voltage variations of 10 are acceptable Larger variations can damage the cabinet and in such cases the factory guarantee will be void Your local dealer will be able to assist with information on extreme over undervoltage variations This cabinet must be given additional protection in accordance with the applicable power regulations This also applies even in the case of a replacement of an existing freezer that has not had addi tional protection The purpose of the additional protection is to pro tect users from dangerous electrical shocks in case of defects In homes built after 1 April 1975 all sockets in kitchens and any utility rooms will comply with additional protection In both situations the following must be carried out e ifthe socket has three holes use a three pronged plug and the wire with green yellow insulation must be connected to the earth terminal e Ifthe socket has only two holes use only a two pronged plug If the user fit

Remove the front back grille as follows Lift up the front back grille by taking hold on both outer sides lift up and then pull the front back grille away from the cabinet The compressor and condenser cooling element are now readily accessible Be aware that the cooling element consists of sharp components and may be hot to touch If your cabine following way has a canopy the strip light must be replaced in the Remove the two screws in one end cover remove the cover and remove the canopy plate The strip light is now readily accessible When the strip light has been replaced the canopy is assembled in reverse order 7 Troubleshooting If you experience any problems with your cabinet please check the following before seeking assistance e Is the plug inserted e Is the socket switched on e Is the fuse in the meter cabinet intact Has any fault current relay been disconnected Has there been a complete power failure e Is the thermostat set correctly If the cabinet is in a very hot place or air circulation is poor you should provide the necessary circulation If the condenser is not clean it should be vacuum cleaned If you have checked the above and the cabinet is still not working call a service technician Commercial Cabinets State the type of fault and appliance serial number and item no indicated on the sign inside the cabinet Do not attempt to open the cabinet as the temperature rise
3. is a natural process but when the ice reaches a thickness of approx 5 8 mm the cabinet should be de iced the in the following way e Place the products from the cabinet in a cold place or pack them in insulating material e The cabinet should be switched off at the socket e The door should be kept open e Loosen the ice layer using plastic or wooden implements never use metal implements The de icing process can also be speeded up by using bowls of hot water Never use pointed or sharp tools e After de icing clean the cabinet as described under Section 6 Dry thoroughly after cleaning English 6 Maintenance Please note the following in connection with the cleaning of the cabinet e Place the products from the cabinet in a cold place or pack them in insulating material e The cabinet should be switched off at the socket e The door should be kept open e _ The cabinet can be cleaned with lukewarm water and mild detergent It should then be washed with clean water Never use detergents that contain chlorine Never use pointed or sharp tools e Clean the doors in the same way as the cabinet If the cabinet has a condenser with a fan at the bottom of the cabi net dust and dirt may gather on the cooling element If cleaning is required the power should be switched off the front back grille removed and the cooling element vacuum cleaned with a soft brush Cleaning is recommended twice a year

Uprights o 4 2 WECHILLIT COM Tel 01743 289 418 Instruction Manual Commercial Cabinets Contents Set up Electrical connection Operation Storing food De icing the cabinet Maintenance Troubleshooting Disposal Special considerations Guarantee o W O M A WHY English Commercial Cabinets Congratulations on purchasing your new refrigerator freezer cabinet Please note that this user manual applies to all Derby cabinets The illustrations and equipment will therefore not necessarily cor respond completely to your model 1 Set up Ensure that the cabinet is not damaged upon receipt Transport damage must be reported to your dealer no later than 24 hours af ter delivery The cabinet should be taken into a dry room at normal room tem perature with adequate air circulation Position the cabinet so that there is unrestricted air circulation around the freezer i e so that there is a gap of at least 50 mm on all sides Never place the cabinet in direct sunlight The cabinet should be set up on a level surface and should stand with free circulation around it If the cabinet has been stored or transported cold do not attempt to start it until the compressor has reached a temperature of at least 5 C Before the cabinet is started washing is recommen ded See Section 6 Maintenance If the cabinet on the machine sign is marked Class 04 it should not be set up in a higher ambient tem
5. he cabinet must therefore not be placed in di rect sunlight or up against heat generating surfaces See Fig If your cabinet is fitted with locks the keys to the cabinet should be kept out of the reach of children If your new cabinet is replacing a worn out cabinet of an older type you should dismantle the locking mechanism on the old cabinet before it is removed If your cabinet is not eguipped with a lock you can purchase one as an accessory no 485021 for G48 no 760165 for G8 no 485022 for G18 and fit it later 4 Storing food Always make sure that you place the products so that air can cir culate freely and without restriction as otherwise differences bet ween the temperatures at the top and at the bottom of the cabinet may occur The freezers are only intended as a conservator and are therefore not suited for the freezing of food In other words only products that are already packaged and frozen should be placed in the freezer The bottle coolers in the cabinets are intended for the cooling and storage of soft drinks As the temperature inside the cabinet very much depends on the conditions in the location where the cabinet is placed it is unfortu nately not possible to give an exact setting for the thermostat It is recommended instead that you adjust the thermostat to suit the area in which the freezer is located 5 De icing the cabinet The cabinets de ice automatically Over time ice formation in the freezer

7. perature than 30 C If the cabinet is marked Class 4 it can handle an ambient tempe rature of up to 35 C If it is marked Class 05 it can handle an ambient temperature of up to 40 C Reversal of door If you want to reverse the door on the cabinet so that it opens to he other side do the following Remove the plug from the mains socket Remove the grille Loo sen the top hinge by loosening and removing the two screws pull he hinge out and put it aside Lift the door off the lower hinge and put it aside Dismantle the lower hinge and move it to the other side and move the cover from the other side to where the hinge was Move the cover stopper for the top hinge to the other side Rotate the door 180 and place it on the bottom hinge Place the op hinge on the door push it into the track on the cabinet and se cure with the two screws Remove the Derby logo which is now upside down from the door and fit a new one On the CD CP models the end covers on the canopy must be dismantled Here the lock nut should first be loosened and the top hinge bolt on the top of the door should be removed When the door has been reversed the bolt and lock nut must be fitted again as should the end covers on the canopy Otherwise the procedure is the same as for the standard cabinets Note that if your cabinet is equipped with a lock this should be dismantled before door reversal can be carried out English Unfortunately

9. s this him herself the wire with the green yellow insulation must be clipped as closely as pos sible to the place where the wire enters the plug In other situations the user should use an authorised electrician check to see how you can protect your cabinet in the best way The Electricity Council recommends that extra protection is provi ded with a high sensitivity earth fault circuit breaker 3 Operation The temperature in the cabinet is automatically controlled by the adjustable thermostat Adjusting the thermostat On the G8 models the thermostat is located on the back at the bot tom On the G18 models the thermostat is located on the front at the bottom On the G48 refrigerator models the thermostat is located on the in side of the cabinet s fan screen at the top of the cabinet On the G48 freezer models the thermostat is located behind the front grille at the bottom of the front of the cabinet The thermostat should be rotated clockwise in order to reduce the temperature The thermostat is set at a middle temperature However the tem perature of the bottle cooler must be adjusted after set up with a Commercial Cabinets good glass thermometer max inaccuracy 1 C placed in a glass with e g glycerine and then fine tuned if reguired The location of the cabinet the ambient temperature and the num ber and length of door openings greatly influence the temperature inside the cabinet T
