6. buttons open the Weather Station description window which is where you add a new Weather Station or edit the selected Weather Station The bottom button removes the selected Weather Station from your system F This button opens the Weather Station configuration window which is where you configure the selected Weather Station G This is where you activate or deactivate the selected Weather Station 13 electronic SAn Adding editing and removing Weather Stations Select Weather identifies Weather Stations using an address An address is a unique eight digit code the software uses to locate and identify each device Each Weather Station is programmed with an address before it leaves the factory To locate the address for a specific Weather Station check inside the cover For more information read the OWS installation guide Because remembering eight digit codes to identify Weather Stations is all but impossible for us humans Select Weather makes it easier by allowing you to give each device a name When giving a device a name try to make the name as descriptive and useful as possible For example North Corner Lagoon and Hast Wing are more descriptive and useful than OWS 7 OWS 2 and so On Before you can add Weather Stations you must have at least one building For information about adding buildings see the OMNI Select user manual If you have a Weather Station you do not want to assign to a specific building crea

19. nd decisions gt OMNI Select collects displays and stores information only when it is running nore To make sure you always have consistent data make sure OMNI Select is always running The wind sensors need a minimum wind speed of about 5 mph 8 km h to provide accurate readings As wind speed increases accuracy increases Creating Weather reports One of the great advantages of Select Weather is the detailed reports that are available The Select Weather report is available in preview PDF or CSV format Preview PDF These reports display using OMNI Select s built in Report Preview window From there you can print or save reports as a PDF portable document format CSV You can import CSV reports into a third party reporting database or spreadsheet program or e mail them off site for evaluation CSV reports are not suitable for normal viewing Phas n Creating Weather reports electronic control systems Weather Report description Weather Reports provide detailed temperature history over the date range you selected In addition to selecting the Weather Station you want in the report you select a sampling interval and type Weather Report Your site name Report dates Report created Data interval 02 00 hh mm Sampling type Point data Temperature units Fahrenheit F Precipitation units Inches Speed units Miles per hour Information about the report Phason Weather
20. nfiguration and then Weather 2 Below Your Weather Stations select the Weather Station you want to activate or deactivate 3 Below Active click and drag the slider to the status you want 15 electronic SAn Configuring Weather Stations Compensating for incorrect alignment Direction adjustment is the amount of adjustment in degrees 180 to 180 for the wind direction sensor to compensate for mounting the sensor facing the wrong direction Clockwise add Counterclockwise subtract If you mounted the wind direction sensor facing northeast NE N instead of north N you would set the direction adjustment to 45 because north is counterclockwise from northeast you subtract NW If you mounted the wind direction sensor facing northwest NW instead of north you would set the direction adjustment to 45 because north is clockwise from northwest you add If you mounted the wind direction sensor backwards facing south instead of north you would set the direction to either 180 or 180 because south is halfway around the circle from north it doesn t matter if you go clockwise or S counterclockwise Sensor type Selecting the wrong type will cause wind speed readings to be wrong Most Phason wind speed sensors have a label on the top that shows the sensor type In the example on the right the sensor 4 type is WS 2 If your sensor has no label the type is WS 1 Rain gauge U
