FOL by RADIANCY Facial SkinCare Device With HE MicroPhototherapy uick Guide The Ouick Guide does not replace the User Manual Please read the entire User Manual before treatment Know your FSD Plus Main Unit Pulse Counter Control Panel On Off Switch O by RADIANCY Hand Piece Control Panel Energy Levels Mute Button Ready Indicator Light Charging Indicator Light Power On Light Hand Piece Treatment Head Pulse Button Accessories Hygienic Rings N 2 ii Client Goggles Power Cord Before You Start Skin Type Guidelines e Make sure your client doesn t match any of the exclusion criteria Refer to the User Manual for further information e Determine your client s skin type according to the Fitzpatrick Skin Type Classification below e Do not treat clients with Skin Type 6 e Skin Types 4 amp 5 should only be treated with the low energy setting Fitzpatrick Skin Type Classification Always burns never tans Always burns less than average tan Note Darker skin may be more sensitive to the energy emitted from the lamp and therefore requires a lower energy level setting Test Session Always test your client s reaction to FSD Plus before beginning the actual treatment Deliver 1 3 pulses in discreet areas and wait at least 24 hours up to 48 hours for skin types 4 5 for any possible negative reactions2. Use the settings below for the initial test Skin Type Energy Level 1 3 Low Medium 4 5 LOW Treatment Preparations Treatment 1 Make sure the skin is completely clean and dry before 1 Turn FSD Plus on beginning treatment 2 Cover your client eyes with the Goggles 2 Set the energy level according to the test A AA AA AA RA session Wait for the Ready Indicator light and beep sound You are now ready to begin treatment 3 Attach a hygienic ring to the handpiece opening Use a separate hygienic ring for each client e ATEN 3 Press the handpiece firmly but gently on the skin Always make sure e The lamp opening is in full contact with skin e To stretch the skin where you apply the Handpiece 4 Attach the power cord to the back of the device and plug the cord into an electrical outlet 4 Press and hold the pulse switch down until the handpiece stops flashing or you hear a beep 5 After the pulse sequence is finished completely remove the handpiece away from the skin 6 Apply the next sequence only when the Ready Indicator light is back on Apply the pulses from right to left in a sequential horizontal pattern After covering the entire area wait one to two minutes to allow the skin to cool Repeat the procedure Return to the starting point This time hold the handpiece vertically in the opposite direction of the first pass When treatment
3. is complete turn the device off by pressing the power switch IMPORTANT NOTE If your client feels the pulses are too hot remove the handpiece immediately and wait until the Ready indicator light turns on again If possible lower the power level If not remove after a few pulses Notes e Do not place the handpiece on the skin before the Ready Indicator light is on and or you hear the audible signal Apply pulses with no more than a 20 overlap e Stop if there is full redness of the skin blistering or burns e Wait 5 minutes between two consecutive uses e Please read the Safety Instructions section in the User Manual After Treatment Complete the facial for the ultimate affect e Apply a cooling hydrating mask e Massage with a non oily lotion e Apply moisturizers non stringent non alcoholic e Apply a moisturizing sun screen SPF 30 or higher see RADIANCY Smart Skin Solutions LIT 00104 Rev A00 March 2013
