Their frequency is 125kHz for 7 of the time in operation The handset has three small ferrite antennas which generate a minimal field Remote Range The remote has a nominal 50m range however it is not recommended that you allow the machine more than 25m away from you Further than this and you may encounter unanticipated obstacles To view the Bluetooth CE Declaration and Qualified Product Notice please visit stewartgolf com Technical www STEWARTGOLF com 9 MODES OF OPERATION The first thing to get used to is that there are three modes of operation Follow is just one of the three and should not be used as a default setting It is your responsibility to choose the correct mode for each situation please read more for tips on how to make these decisions MANUAL STEERING OPERATION Good for Car parks bridges paths Before you do anything make sure you know where the emergency stop button is press this button to bring the machine to an immediate stop Once you are comfortable with the handset in normal use you should use the glide stop button this will cut power to the motors and bring the machine to a gentle stop When in a car park crossing a road or negotiating a tight path you should steer the machine manually by the handle You can control the soeed of the machine with the handset clipped to the handle using the cradle provided or just hold it in your other hand The cradle can be attached to either side of the ha

5. e On steep hills e Anywhere the X9 Follow could collide with any object or person e When you are looking for your ball Walking in tight circles will increase the risk of losing the connection but you will also waste battery power Here you are better to leave machine stationary on the fairway then use the remote feature to drive it towards you once you have found your ball e At any time you can switch from follow to remote mode by simply using any of the forward buttons To resume follow mode stop the machine and start the follow process as usual Think of the follow feature like cruise control on a car It s perfect for motorway driving but no good for town or car park driving The follow feature is designed for the fairway primarily remote and manual steering modes for other scenarios It is up to you as the driver to select the correct mode for the circumstance IMPORTANT INFORMATION WARNING Will the X9 Follow automatically stop behind me When the handset is inside the Neutral Zone the X9 Follow will apply the brakes If you are walking down a steep slope and come to a sudden stop the X9 Follow may not be able react quickly enough and could hit you Likewise if the ground is damp the X9 Follow may skid It is important that you always allow the X9 Follow time to react to your movements amp behaviour BAG WEIGHT e For the best performance from the X9 Follow use a Cart or Tour bag filled to a maximum weight of
6. you so you can drive it to your next position rather than walking back www STEWARTGOLF com AAN BUY 45 y StewartGolf GREAT BRITAIN LEE u FOLLOW OPERATION Good for Open fairways with no hazards obstacles or obstructions Not for Car parks paths bridges around the greens lakes streams or any other obstacles The open fairway is the perfect environment for the X9 Follow mode Press the follow button with the handset within 50cm and directly in front of the machine Then slowly walk away in the direction that the machine is facing with the handset on your belt or back pocket If you walk quickly away or atan angle the X9 Follow may not be able to react quickly enough and could lose connection e When you reach your ball amp stop the X9 Follow will also stop e Put the handset on the cradle select your club and take your shot e Replace your club put the handset back on your back pocket belt and resume walking the X9 Follow will again pick up your pace e If you stop for any reason such as to let another player take a shot the X9 Follow will stop behind you automatically When you are ready just start walking again and the X9 Follow will start again automatically e To turn follow mode off press either emergency stop or glide stop Advice for use e Use the follow function when on clear relatively flat fairway Do not use the follow function e In car parks e In rough terrain
7. 15kg Using a top heavy stand bag reduces the load on the front wheels which means the steering may react faster than intended www STEWARTGOLF com 11 OTHER X9 FOLLOW FEATURES QUICK RELEASE REAR WHEELS To remove a wheel tilt the machine holding the main support so that one wheel is off the floor Hold the centre of the wheel and press the black button with your thumb Now pull the wheel away from the trolley FREEWHEEL The X9 Follow has a built in freewheel setting which allows you to complete your round even in the unlikely event of a fault To engage this mode Tilt the machine so that one wheel is off the floor Chold the main support 2 Press down on the black button in the wheel centre and slide the wheel 25mm 1 away from the motor but still on the axle 3 Rotate the wheel 45 degrees and push it towards the motor until it stoos engaging the wheel on the outer ring of the axle 4 Release the black button and the wheel should now be locked on to the shaft but not engaged onto the drive dog CRUISE CONTROL SPEEDS Your X9 Follow has 2 preset cruise control speeds on buttons 1 amp 2 Use these when you are using the remote control mode You can program these for your own walking speeds as follows 1 Use the speed up amp slow down buttons to find your desired walking speed 2 Press and hold either button 1 or 2 for 3 seconds The machine will stop to show that the instruction has been

9. all bump near the lower bag stay apply downward pressure to the S clips until the cover is secured 6 With the lower bungee out of the way and the top bungee connected only on one side place your golf bag on the lower bag stay and rest it against the main support 7 Using the handle in the middle of the bottom bungee pull the cord over the base of the golf bag Pull the loose side of the too bungee around the bag and attach it to the other side 8 Turn the on off switch to ON D and wait for the blue light to flash Press the bluetooth on off button on the handset to switch the handset on When both blue lights are constantly illuminated the bluetooth connection is established and you re ready to play PUTTING AWAY 1 Remove one side of the top bungee and lift your bag up amp away from the machine The bottom bungee will release automatically 2 Remove the front cover disconnect and remove the battery and replace the front cover 3 Release both bottom clips simultaneously by pressing the clips with your thumbs Slowly lower the main support until the top bag support comes to rest on the chassis 4 Whilst supporting the handle release the top clip and lower the handle until it comes to rest on the rear cover Do not drop the handle or main support 5 Lift the X9 Follow in to your car using the lifting points specified IMPORTANT INFORMATION WARNING You should always disconnect the batte
10. ates LIGHT OFF No battery power If the on off switch is on I this indicates that the battery is either not connected or it requires a charge LIGHT FLASHING This indicates that there is power to the machine but the handset Bluetooth connection has not been established LIGHT ON When the light is constantly illuminated there is battery power and the bluetooth signal has been established The X9 Follow can take up to 4 seconds to make the Bluetooth connection HOW IT WORKS Mounted on each of the rear motors two red antennas create two zones a neutral zone and an active zone When the handset is inside the neutral zone the X9 Follow will remain stationary m Active Zone As the handset enters the active zone the X9 Follow will automatically amp independently alter the soeed of each motor to keep its pace When the golfer Cand therefore the handset come to a stop the X9 Follow will continue until the handset is back inside the neutral zone when it will also stop The effect is that of a digital elastic band which stretches and contracts as you walk IMPORTANT INFORMATION WARNING The electronics enclosure contains no user serviceable parts The lid of the enclosure is sealed to reduce risk of moisture ingress Breaking this seal increases the risk of moisture entering the case and reduces the reliability of your X9 Follow No attempt should be made to open the enclosure Doing so will invalida

12. ept in the golfer s hand or placed in a front pocket its motion swings back and forth This back amp forth motion will cause the X9 Follow to accelerate and brake accordingly If the handset is on a back pocket or belt its motion will be smoother and therefore the X9 Follow s motion will be smoother General Q Is the X9 Follow OK in the rain A The X9 Follow is designed for use in all conditions appropriate for golf Because the design of the X9 Follow protects the major components from rain water ingress can not occur during normal use You should avoid any situation where moisture or water wz could reach the electronics or motors some examples of this are e Driving through puddles or standing water f e Using a pressure washer or hose pipe e Submerging the machine in a river or lake DO NOT LIFT Faults caused by water ingress will not be covered under the warranty FROM HERE Q How do get the X9 Follow up a step or kerb A Firstly exert downward pressure on the handle to lift the front wheels onto the higher level If the natural traction of the rear wheels do not carry the rear of the machine onto the higher level lift from the centre of the main support DO NOT lift from the handle this can cause fatigue or even component failure LIFT FROM HERE Q How many holes will the battery last for A The main lithium battery is sized to complete at least 18 holes under normal conditions A hole of golf ca

22. y connected to the charger If the battery is used regularly once a week for example it is OK to leave the battery and charger connected The Battery Management System BMS within the battery will prevent any damage Long term storage If you plan to leave the battery for long periods i e over the winter the battery should be fully charged after its last game disconnected from the charger and stored as above Once a month you should put the battery through a full charge cycle GREEN RED GREEN Before using it again the battery should be charged fully www STEWARTGOLF com 7 SETTING UP amp PUTTING AWAY SETTING UP 1 When removing the X9 Follow from the car only lift from the two lifting points These are the stabiliser and under the front of the chassis parts 5 and 15 Lifting from other parts of the trolley cover could cause unintended damage that will not be covered under warranty 2 To unfold the trolley grip the handle and pull it towards you The top amp bottom clips will snap into place automatically 3 To remove the front cover hold the two S clips part 6 apply slight outward pressure and lift 4 Insert the battery into the tray and secure with the strap Connect the battery to the electronics box 5 Replace the front cover by aligning the two lugs at the rear of the cover with the corresponding gaps in the rear cover and pivot in to place Ensure the front of the cover is behind the sm
