CLE DUE TO INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF PROD UCT OR USE OF INCORRECT FLUID PLEASE CONSULT YOUR LOCAL DEALER Remember that with this installation you are modifying your motorcycle and though our con trols are assembled to a stock comfortable fitment there will be adjustment necessary to ensure adequate comfort for your shifting foot as well as ensuring all shifting is occurring appropriately Any models requiring the electronic banjo brake switch will require minor wiring and a good amount of brake bleeding to ensure adequate pressure Is allowed to actuate the brake light through the switch Always be sure to have a helping hand available Though most of the installation is a one man show it s always good to have a second set of hands available ENJOY YOUR NEW CONTROLS INSTALLATION Important Installation Notes Please read entire instruction booklet pnor to installation This will familianze you with the tools required to install this product and how the included items fit and operate Before attempting installation of this kit make sure to check package to be sure you have received all the necessary itemsincluded with this product and that the kit isthe correct unit for your motorcycle Pnorto attempting any work on your motorcycle disconnect the battery to eliminate any possibility of damage to the electncal system due to a short circuit Thiskit requiresthe replacement of the motorcycles factory rear master

7. aliper and remove the brake line being sure to capture all fluids in a sealable container for proper disposal 3 Trace the brake line back toward the front and remove any brackets or zip ties that hold it in place 4 Remove the two bolts that hold the right side floorboard control bracket to the frame and remove all the stock components including the rear master cylinder and any linkage 5 Install the new brake side control onto the stock location using supplied 10mm bolts 6 Install a new brake line not provided to rear caliper with the stock banjo bolt being sure to use a crush washer on both sides of the banjo fitting Route the line back towards the front as the stock one was 7 Connect the brake line to the new reservoir master cylinder with the supplied banjo bolt brake switch bolt making sure you have a crush washer on both sides of the banjo joint 8 Connect the two wires from the switch to the stock wires that were clipped in step 1 Use the supplied connectors or solder them together This is a simple open close switch so polarity does not matter This switch operates by pressure so it will not work until the reservoir is filled and the brakes are bled Shift Side 9 Loosen the two nuts on the shift linkage Twist the linkage as necessary to remove it 10 Remove the two bolts that hold on the left side floorboard control and remove it from the bike 11 Install the supplied rod end onto the new shift lever with the suppl
8. cylinder Never reuse brake fluid or use fluid from a container that has previously been opened Use only the factory recommended DOT replacement fluid We recommend that you obtain your bike s factory service manual for detailed instructions on the removal of stock parts necessary for the installation of this kit Supreme Legends USA recommends that installation of all products be installed only by professional mechanics familiar with your make of motorcycle and their respective braking systems Preparation Position motorcycle on a quality motorcycle lift with a weight rating greater than the weight of your motorcycle Make sure motorcycle is securely positioned and locked down before attempting any work Raise motorcycle to a comfortable position for installation procedure You understand and agree that the product isdesigned to be installed and used asdescnbed in the assembly instructions You agree not to make any modifications to the product and agree not to use any parts Components or accessones in connection with the installation and the use of the product that are not authonzed and approved by us Installation Kit 1 1 5 16 24x 3 4 Button head bolt 2 1 M8x1 25 Rod end left handed 3 4 M10x1 25x25 Button head bolts 4 1 Banjo bolt brake Switch 3 8 24 Yamaha Road Star Installation Brake Side 1 Locate the brake light switch and clip the wires 2 from the switch 2 Remove the banjo bolt from the rear c
9. ied 5 16 button head bolt 12 Install the new shift side control onto the stock location using supplied 10mm bolts 13 Install one of the stock nuts and the new rod end onto the shift linkage being careful to start both sides at the same time Adjust to suit the rider and lock down with the nuts Finishing Up 14 Unbolt master cylinder lid and fill reservoir with bike manufacturer s recommended DOT brake fluid Remember to never reuse or mix old brake fluid and NEVER mix DOT 4 and DOT 5 together Bleed the brakes per your service manual Check fluid level in reservoir periodically and fill as necessary to maintain full capacity of reservoir 15 Make sure that the brake light is working when the brake is applied 16 Ride and enjoy your new Supreme Legends Forward Controls Note We strongly suggest that you use blue Loc Tite 242 on all fasteners except the banjo bolts to insure that they stay tight Torque all bolts to factory specifications For any further information about product warranty and or tech support please contact our Technical Support Department at 714 504 0715 WARNING FAILURE TO BLEED ALL THE AIR OUT OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM WILL RESULTIN AN POOR BRAKING AND ORINCONSISIENT BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE
