HUSSMANN CORPORATION BRIDGETON MO 63044 2483 U S A Low Temperature Excel 1 18 INSTALLATION Offsetting Bumper for End Merchandisers 1 Locate starter bumper shipped with the left end kit 2 Remove factory installed bumper by pull ing bumper away from bumper retainer Be careful not to lose the internal joint trim on the bumper 3 Starting at the left end of the lineup install the bumper starter section first To install a Position internal joint trims so that the first is flush to the left end panel and the sec ond is centered between the starter bumper and the full length bumper as shown b Install full length bumpers and internal trims offset across joints Make sure that no gaps exist between sections Continue install ing the bumpers the length of the lineup Starter Bumper Retainer x P N 0529398 F 4 Once all except the last section of bumper have been installed refrigerate the mer chan diser lineup for at least six 6 hours The last section of bumper should be kept inside a cooler or refrigerated merchandiser during this time This will allow the bumper to contract 5 Go to the right end of the lineup and tap the bumper to close any gaps x 6 Measure and cut last section of bumper Use a miter box and fine tooth saw to cut last bumper to length Install the last section 7 Remove protective film from bumper once installation is complete terBox

USE Abrasive cleansers and scouring pads as these will mar the finish A hose on lighted shelves or submerge the shelves in water Solvent oil or acidic based cleaners on any interior surfaces Ammonia based cleaners on acrylic parts Coarse paper towels on coated glass WARNING Prevent injury ALWAYS SHUT POWER OFF during cleaning process HUSSMANN CORPORATION BRIDGETON MO 63044 2483 U S A Do Remove the product and all loose debris to avoid clogging the waste outlet Store product in a refrigerated area such as a freezer Remove only as much product as can be taken to the freezer a timely manner First turn off refrigeration then disconnect electrical power Thoroughly clean all surfaces with soap and hot water Do NOT USE STEAM OR HIGH WATER PRESSURE HOSES TO WASH THE INTERIOR THESE WILL DESTROY THE MERCHANDISERS SEALING CAUSING LEAKS AND POOR PERFOR MANCE Lift hinged fan plenum for cleaning Hook chain in rear panel to secure plenum during cleaning BE SURE TO REPOSITION THE FAN PLENUM AFTER CLEANING MERCHANDISER Take care to minimize direct contact between fan motors and cleaning or rinse water Rinse with hot water but do NOT flood NEVER INTRODUCE WATER FASTER THAN THE WASTE OUTLET CAN REMOVE IT Allow merchandisers to dry before resum ing operation After cleaning is completed turn on power and refrigerant to the merchandiser Verify that merchandiser is workin

16. a one sided frame These merchandisers are shipped with a pre assembled lid frame FWE L and FWEG L are used as island end cases and also have a one sided lid frame These merchandisers are shipped with the lid frame pre assembled and mounted to the top of the merchandiser ATTENTION Hussmann does not recom mend using a power drill If using a power drill Do NOT use more than 2 N m torque INSTALLING TWO SIDED LID FRAMES 1 Clean the hand rails of the island merchandisers thoroughly 2 MAKE SURE THE ISLAND AND HANDRAILS ARE LEVELED If merchandisers are not leveled see page 1 7 for leveling instructions 3 Remove wrapping materials from the frame assembly Clean the frame assemblies thoroughly 4 Place the two sided frame on top of the merchandiser and center the frame to the top of the case Mark the location with a grease pencil HUSSMANN CORPORATION BRIDGETON MO 63044 2483 U S A 5 If the island has a center flue attach frame supports The support legs are pressed into the holes under the cross profiles and adjusted using a level 6 Adjust center frame support height as necessary so that frame radius matches the glass radius 7 Press o ring down so that it covers the gap between the mounting parts Apply clear silicone over the o ring to seal any remaining gap 8 Apply a thin bead of silicone sealant between top rail and lid frame Seal both interior and exterior sides Apply Si

18. bracket assembly to plenum and remove assembly 6 Replace fan motor bracket assembly and reinstall screws 7 Reinstall fan blade HUSSMANN CORPORATION BRIDGETON 63044 2483 U S A SERVICE 7 1 Fan Assembly Fan Blade Plenum Note Plenum length and number of fans will vary with model 8 Reconnect fan to wiring harness 9 Turn on power 10 Verify that motor is working and blade is turning in the correct direction 11 Replace display pans and wire racks Bring merchandiser to operating tempera ture before restocking Low Temperature Excel 7 2 SERVICE REPLACING ELECTRIC DEFROST HEATER These heaters are installed at the front of the coils They may be accessed by lifting the fan plenums To replace 1 Turn off power to merchandiser 2 Remove wire racks and display pans from the compartment being serviced 3 Hinge up and fasten the fan plenum to the interior back panel with chain and hook provided 4 Unplug the heater from the heater harness 5 Remove the heater from the face of the coil by rotating the support tab far enough to free the heater element 6 Position the new heater and rotate the sup port tab back to the original position 7 Reconnect heater to wiring harness 8 Lower the fan plenum to operating position 9 Reconnect power 10 Verify heater is working properly 11 Replace display pans and wire racks Bring merchandiser to operating temperatu
