An error can occur during or after an update if the data transfer or the un packing or copying of the update files does not proceed correctly You can check the precise size of the file under file properties Not to be mis taken with size on the data medium These can be different for every data medium For the boot loader update the CF card is inserted while the LED shortly illuminates for about one second boot loader phase after the autoclave is switched on Plug the CF card into the slot while the device is still switched off press on the black ejection pin and leave the CF card in this position in the card slot This procedure facilitates a rapid and correct insertion of the CF card if the LED illuminates after the autoclave is switched on The display re mains blank Depending on the technology it can subsequently immedi ately come to a renewed firmware update Therefore be sure to wait until the autoclave displays the start up screen this can take up to 7 minutes Which CF card can use for an update You can employ every CF card formatted with FAT 16 file system as an update CF card The CF cards delivered from MELAG are already format ted accordingly As it is possible to record graphic logs on the CF card above version 2 4 we recommend using only CF cards with 1GB or more memory capacity preferably MELAG approved MELA ash CF cards It is well known that some older CF cards with 256 MB memory capacity cause file
