56. ove the locking ring 58 Step 9 Remove the spindle nut Step 10 Slide the rotor amp hub assembly off the spindle leaving the bearings inside the hub QA027 REVO7 12 23 11 145 MAINTENANCE FRONT AXLE MAINTENANCE Reassembly Procedure If the Backing Plate amp Spindle Were Removed Step 1 Install the backing plate with the chamfer facing the spindle Note Be sure the backing plate is aligned in the correct position as it was before it was removed Step 2 Tighten the 6 new 3 8 24 stover lock nuts to 33ft Ibs Step 3 Install the rotor amp hub assembly making sure the bearing does not fall out Step 4 Install the spindle nut with the dowel facing toward you Tighten to 35ft lbs to seat the bearings while spinning the rotor Step 5 Loosen the spindle nut and re snug Step 6 Install the lock ring making sure the hole in the ring lines up with the dowel on the nut If it does not rotate the nut so the dowel is aligned Step 7 Install the lock nut and torque to 50ft lbs Step 8 Install the spring seat with the flat part facing toward you Step 9 Install the spring the gear and the clip Step 10 Apply small amount of RTV sealant to the cap and install Step 11 Install the caliper Step 12 Install the tires and lug nuts and torque the nuts to 90ft Ibs QA027 REVO7 12 23 11 146 QA027 REVO7 12 23 11
