3. 5 Cover Retaining Screw Mechanism Note Under no circumstances should 2 live fiber be inspected with the PriorSpec II Maintenance Eyepieces and Objectives High quality scientific optics are used in the PriorSpec Il The lenses are coated with an anti reflecting layer and they should only be cleaned by wiping with a suitable lens cleaning tissue Vigorous rubbing or the use of a cloth may impair the efficiency of the instrument Changing the Eyepiece The PriorSpec II G00200 G00201 comes complete with a 10x eyepiece G425 as standard providing a total magnification of 200x This 10x eyepiece can easily be replaced with a 20x eyepiece W387A in order to change the total magnification to 400x Similarly the magnification of the G00400 G00401 can be reduced from 400x to 200x magnification by the substitution of the 20x eyepiece with a 10x eyepiece A 10x to 20x zoom eyepiece is also available W436F Procedure Undo the set screw on the eyepiece with a 1 25mm hexagon Allen key Remove the eyepiece and insert the eyepiece replacement into the tube and tighten up the set screw Illumination The LED has a life of approximately 10 000 hours Replacement of the LED should only be undertaken by a Prior trained service engineer Battery Operation The Low Battery Warning Light 4 will illuminate after approximately 70 hours of continuous use indicating that the batteries are nearly exhausted This means that new
